Take It By Force~August 12th~Columbus IN

Beloved Pastors, Ministers and Friends,

Saturday August 12, The Women of the Kairos will be having our first annual conference. Milestone Ministries (formerly known as Little Rock Ministries), will be hosting the conference. We are praying and believing for something above the ordinary.  As a matter of fact, this may be the first women's conference that is NOT just for women!

Every pastor, minister and mentor will understand the importance of stirring up the gift within another life. Stirring up the Gift is what WOTK is all about!

For the past 12 months, the Kairos women have soaked on the oil of their purpose, preparing for their moment.  I believe August 12 will be a moment, not only for them, but for everyone who attends.

Our team of prayer warriors are at work right now interceeding on behalf of every soul that will be in attendance that day.  No matter who you are, or what season you are dwelling in, God has something for you!

Please plan to attend this life changing conference - and bring someone with you!

We'll see you there!

A Must Read~written by Susan Vannice

Beloved,

I heard something last evening that cut me to the quick.

"Experience is the tool God uses to teach people who refuse to listen to wisdom."

There are some things that only experience can teach us, however we would all save ourselves much time and anguish if we would just listen to wisdom.

It is my prayer today that you could learn from my mistakes, and listen to the wisdom in what I am about to say.  It might cut a few years off your time in this race.

Sooner or later in our Christian walk, God will inevitably ask us to obey something that we do not understand through foresight.  Abram did not understand why God wanted him to leave everything he ever knew and go to an undesignated place.  The LORD said, "Go to a land that I WILL show you."  Abram had not seen the land yet, nor did he know what it would be like when he got there.  He was just told to "Go."

In hind-sight Abraham could look back on his journey with God and see His plan at work.  BUT it was not until Abram (High Father) took the necessary steps of obedience that his name was changed to Abraham (Father of a Multitude).

If you want purpose of God to expand in your life then you must walk in obedience to His will and instructions, whether you understand it or not.

There is a saying that says, "Hind-sight is 20/20."  This is true in our spiritual walk with God as well. Some things we will not understand until we walk awhile and let the timing of God unfold in our lives.  Some things we will not understand up front, but if we work it out, and walk it out, the purpose will become clearer and clearer.

When I was a young girl, I did not understand why I always felt outcast and unwanted.  Now I know that it was GOD keeping me for such a time as this.  Being rejected was the only way I could truly know what being rejected felt like.  There is a difference between walking it out for yourself and hearing someone else's story, and God wanted me to actually play the part,  not just have a front row seat.

On the front side of the thing we don't always see clearly, but when we get on the other side through obedience to Him, we can see how God's hand has been in the thing the whole time.

Philippians 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

I challenge you today to work it out.  No matter what He has told you to do or where He has told you to go, "Get up and move!"

I pray that you will immediately benefit today
from this simple lesson that took me years to
learn through the very bumpy road
called experience.

TRUE OBEDIENCE IS NOT CONTINGENT
UPON UNDERSTANDING THE OUTCOME

JUST DO IT!

By: Racquel Issac

YES!!!!! For the same God, that on the sound of the voices of His people, He with all of His power brought down the walls of Jericho, and His Glory was demonstrated for ALL to see, He is there for you.  There ain't no devil or demonic spirit that can get pass God or that God can utterly cast down and destroy.  We serve a God that there is NOTHING that He cannot do, for ALL things are possible with God.  For every barrier blocking your ultimate victory in Every situation that you are going through right now or blocking what God has for you, OPEN your mouth and let out a praise that will shake Heaven, so that God can show up like never before in your life and making a way out of no way, blessing you with peace in your storm, giving you Joy for your sorrow, and giving you VICTORY for every battle.  Before your eyes can see in the natural  what you've prayed for, OPEN up your mouth and give God ALL of the Glory, ALL of your praise, Worship like you never done before so that God can move in the spirit realm on your behalf and set things straight for you and position you to see and receive the manifestation of the blessings that He has for you and all that you have prayed for.  Lay down everything that will hinder you from receiving everything that God has for you, get on your face and give it all to God, give Him your all for He deserves all of you, He gave you all that you have now and Can And Will give you all that you desire, according to His sovereign will, give Him you all in your intimate worship with Him.  Let Him caress your worries away giving you all the Love, Peace and Joy that you could possibly ask for. As I prayed for myself earlier tonight, I pray that the Holy Spirit will come like a mighty rushing wind and sweep over all of you as your eyes read this email, washing you with His Spirit, filling you with His righteousness, and pouring out His yoke-breaking anointing all of you, in Jesus Mighty and Holy name I pray, Amen and Amen

God Bless all of you, I pray the Lord will go before you as He goes before me and will go before me tomorrow at work.  I pray that His love with embrace your hearts mind and spirits at this very moment in the Name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

By Faith

Hebrews 11:38  By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry [land]: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.

What a feat!  Moses lead the nation of Isreal through the parted waters of the Red Sea upon dry land!  Not one of them was lost and I suspect not one of them even got wet.

Their taskmasters however were not so fortunate.  Although the entire nation of Isreal passed through with deep waters on each side, the Egyptians were drowned.  They physically followed the steps of the Isrealites, yet the water did not hold itself back for the Egyptians.   Why didn't it work for them???
Do you remember the story of the sourcery of Jannes and Jambres?  They were the guys who imitated every thing Moses did before Pharoah.  Moses was working real miracles in obedience to God and Pharoahs men were working witchcraft.  The results looked the same, but in essence Moses was doing something with real results and the sourcerer were only creating illusions.  When Moses threw down the rod and it became a snake, the sourcerers did the same thing through trickery.  I believe God had the final say when Moses' snake ate the Pharoah's snake right in front of them.
Back to the Red Sea.  So, why didn't the Egyptians make it over?  After all, they did the same actions that the Isrealites did.
Answer:  Because Moses lead the people through the water by faith.  The Egyptians did the same action - but it was not preceeded by faith and the same waters that parted for Moses swallowed up the faithless Egyptians!
We all go through deep waters sometimes, but if faith goes before our first step, we will get through it and come up on the other side dry.
Your enemy will try to imitate the things of God, and intimidate you through illusions (delusions of grandeur(thinking he is bigger than he really is)) but rest assured when he tries to follow you through those deep waters, he will be swallowed up!

Maybe you are in a trial right now, if not buckle up because you will go through something at sometime.  REJOICE!  The trial you go through will be the tool God uses to destroy your enemy!  If you go forth in faith!!!   If you don't go through in faith, your enemy will always be on your tail!  Go in the power of His might!!!

Pray for  more faith today!

Susan Vannice

Supernatural Provision-Believing, Obeying and Receiving

By: Beloved Servant
Jun 27, 2006

Recently I have had the Lord show me my eyes were on my circumstances and not Him I realized I had not fully yielded to Him and trusted Him, so I have been seeking Him to build my faith, and this message came forth from that study, and from my seeking Him.  I believe this message is for more them myself, the Lord is speaking to many here.

Many of us still put our faith in the arm of flesh or in our jobs or sources we think that they are our securtiy, when they are not our security or our source. and it akes the Lord to shake us a bit to see that.
Sometimes He chooses to use very unexpected resources, from places we do not expect, and if our trust is soley on Him, He can rain down manna from heaven if he so chooses.

Let us look at a few of those sources.
Look us look in the book of 1 Kings 17:9.

God spoke a prophetic word to Elijah that there would be no rain or dew in those years. And then Yaweh gave Him a direct word to go to the brook Cherith, and he would drink water from the brook during the drought, and He soke to the ravens and commanded them to feed Elijah
Now this certainly was not an expected source to receive his food and water from, and it is very obvious here that God does communicate with His creation, and they obey Him.
The ravens brought him flesh and bread every morning and every evening.

You will see as you closely study the scriptures that God always directs His people, and in this case Elijah was directed to go to the brook cherith and when the brook dried up, God directed Him to go to Zarephath which was part of Zidon and dwell there.

He commanded a widow woman to feed him, and as Elijah saw here gathering sticks and he called to her and asked her for some water. And as she went to fetch the water, hed called to her to bring him a morsel of bread to him.
She told him she did not have a cake or piece of bread, that all she had was a handful of meal and a little oil in a cruse. She told him that she was gathering two sticks so that she could go in an d prepare what little she had for her and her son and then die.

This poor woman was at the end of her rope. In the days of old the women had no way to care for themselves when they had no spouse living.
So this was a great sacrifice, and yet she obeyed. It seems as if their was no way out of her perdictament.
Elijah said unto her, "do not fear, go and do as thou has said but make me first a little cake and then make one for your self and your son".

The Lord spoke to her through Elijah and said,"Thus saith the Lord God Of Israel. The barrel of of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail until the Lord God sends rain upoon the earth.
So the Lord took the morsel of meal and made a barrel of meal, and she believed Him and obeyed His word and she received from his hand just as He said.
She went and did what Elijah said and she and her house ate many days.

The application here is to BELIEVE the word of God, OBEY Him, do what He says to do, and RECEIVE from Him.

The woman had no other source, if she had not listened to the voice of of the Lord, speaking through Elijah, she and her son would have eaten the little she had and died.

God has provided for all of His creation, down to the smallest, each receives what it needs for survial. Take the worm for instance which makes the ground full of nutrients for planting of food and growing things, and yet that same worm is also food for the birds and fish. Yaweh in His ultimate knowledge has planned for every living thing to receive from his hand, is some way. Even the flowers, who receive sunshine and nutrients from he earth to make them beautiful to behold and with a beautiful fragrance for us to enjoy. This is the Lord's doing, His provision. And the plants give seed to the birds, it is endless in the food chain, to see God's hand of provision.

Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?
Mat 6:26 Behold the birds of the heaven, that they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; and your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye of much more value then they?

The problem is that we have stopped looking to the Lord, our creator who made all the heaven and earth and everything in it. and we have stopped seeing Him as our provision. What happens when man takes anima ls and birds and others of God's creation and begins to feed and care for them? They lose the ability to remember their true source. When they are again placed in the wild, they are not able to survive, unless they are in some way helped. This is what has happened to us. The people of old had to depend on God for their food and sustenance, but we are i n Egypt and so we look to the world to take care of us.

Look at the children of Israel, they had been in Egypt for so long, which is a type of the world and though they had hard labor to receive what little they had to eat, they did have food. And when they were led away by God into the wilderness, they began to compain because they did not have the leeks and vegetables and meat that they had in Egypt.

They were dependant on the arm of flesh. But God wanted to teach them to trust Him, and to see He is God, and do awesome and wonderful miracles, but still they complained at the heavenly blessings and miracles th at came their way. He fed them with heavenly food, all they had to do was BELIEVE Him, OBEY Him and RECEIVE.

But they wanted to go back to Egypt where they knew if they worked they would be fed, they didn't have to trust God. So when they complained about no meat, God rained down on them all the quail they could eat, and many died there in the wilderness because they did not trust God. And we will die in the wilderness if we have not learned to trust Him, because He has taken us out of Egypt, why do we want to go back? There will come a wilderness, and if you have not prepared you too may die, or you will go through such great trials that only by faith will you get through.

The Lord can take care of us without a job, without any known source, the job is in Egypt, he wants to take us to the promise land supernaturally with the miraculous.

The Lord allows for us to have jobs because our faith is so small, He can and does provide supernaturally, w hen we absolutely trust Him.

Most are looking to their circumstances. The Lord loves us, and He will provide for us through employment if that is the only way we will do it, because He loves us and are following Him, if that is our choice He will provide that way. But He wants us to have the faith to believe for the impossible. Not6hing is impossible with God.

Our way shows such little faith, and it is saying that we do not trust that He can provide for us, and often people are afraid they might go without something they want so they prefer to go the worlds way, Egypt and the arm of flesh, instead of trusting in the Lord completely for all our needs including our healing.

God has many sources through which He can provide for us. It can be through other people and ways so totally unexpected.
We cannot live from pay check to paycheck trusting in Mammon and not get tested. The Lord is saying have it your way, and He will allow things to fall apart and get shook up so that you turn back to Him, our source, and our true source.

We can still work if we so choose but know that we do not look to our pay check as our source, nor our circumstances but to rely completely on the Lord.
Phi 4:6 In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

So many are caught up with the things of the world, they feel they have to keep up with the Joneses, they have to have everything that they see others have. And some do not have because they ask not and they ask for the wrong reasons, for their own pleasures.

Jam 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and covet, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; ye have not, because ye ask not. Jam 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may spend it in your pleasures
Jam 4:4 Ye adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefo re would be a friend of the world maketh himself an enemy of God.
Jam 4:5 Or think ye that the scripture speaketh in vain? Doth the spirit which he made to dwell in us long unto envying?

Yaweh God is not without means to feed and clothe us, as we saw with Elijah and the ravens and the poor widow woman. God's ways are past finding out. His ways are not our ways. His ways are perfect.

All we need is faith the size of a mustard seed. he can take little and make much, just like in the fishes and the loaves. Matthew 15:30-38.

Mat 15:30 And there came unto him great multitudes, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and they cast them down at this feet; and he healed them:
Mat 15:31 insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, and lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they glorified the God of Israel.

They see all these miracles, and then Jesus tells the discip les that the multitudes have been with Him for three days and He does not want to send them away hungry.

Mat 15:33 And the disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so many loaves in a desert place as to fill so great a multitude? They are just like the children of Israel, they wonder how they can possibly eat out in the middle of the desert. And yet they just watched the lame walk the blind to see the dumb to speak, and yet they are still thinking like the world.

Mat 15:34 And Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.

Here comes the miracles, all they have to do is BELIEVE, OBEY what He says and RECEIVE.

Mat 15:35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;

Mat 15:36 and he took the seven loaves and the fishes; and he gave thanks and brake, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.

Mat 15:37 And they all ate, and were filled: an d they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, seven baskets full.

Mat 15:38 And they that did eat were four thousand men, besides women and children.

Oh you say you are in debt to the creditors? Many of us are still trying to pay the piper because of our lack of faith in the begining.

Let us look at another widow, the wife of one of the sons of the prophets, who when he died left her with a lot of bills owed and they were going to take her sons to be bond men in exchange for the debt owed.

Elisha, took the pot of oil, which was all she had, and told her to go and borrow many vessels from neighbors andwhen she was brought the vessels, she then filled the jars with the coninuous flow of oil and she was able to fill all the vessels, when she ran out of vessels to put them in, the oil stopped miraculously filling the jars.

She then sold the oil in the vessels for her debts, and the remaining oil was for her and her sons. This woman BELIEVED the prophet and OBEYED what he told her and she RECEIVED.

If we look not at our circumstances but to the Lord our provider, He will make a way where there seems to ber no way. It can be anything, our marriage, sickness, deliverance, friends, family, salvation or it can be our daily needs. Jesus is our provider and our source and when we stop looking to other sources for what we need, and look only to Him, He can do what looks like the impossible.

We build our faith through the trials He gives us. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God, so as we listen to the Lord, and we do what He says, BELIEVING, OBEYING we shall RECEIVE what He says we shall receive.

Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.

Mar 11:23 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it.

Mar 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

2Co 4:18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Our greatest obstacle to our faith brothers and sisters is our thoughts, our own and those satan injects into our mind that we perceive as our own.

Until we line up our thoughts with the Lord's thoughts, (we have the mind of Christ), and casting down imagination from the enemy we cannot move into the faith realm of supernatural miracles. Stay away from the nay sayers they will help satan plant doubt in your life.

He has given every man a measure of faith. Faith is an absolute must in our walk with the Lord and in the Spirit.

The just shall live by faith. Romans 1:17

We are sanctified by faith. Acts 26:18.

Justified by faith. Romans 3:28,Gal 3L24.

We receive righteousness by faith. Romans 4:16.

We are saved by grace through fatih. Galations 5:5.

Our whole christian walk is to be by faith, for without faith it is imposible to please God Heb 11:6.

Jesus said, shall He find faith on earth when He returns? Luke 18:8

Through our BELIEVING, AND OBEYING, WE SHALL RECEIVE GREAT MIRACLES IN OUR LIFE. GOD WANTS TO GIVE YOU SUPERNATURAL PROVISION IN YOUR LIFE.

A Testimony From Africa by: Kay Tolman

Greetings Everyone!

With a full heart, I thank each of you for your prayers and support for this missions trip to Africa. It was truly the most remarkable experience of my lifetime and I can't wait to share the details with you. Pastor Mark Tubbs and I were looking forward to sharing the trip highlights here in Portland at the Full Gospel Business Men's Luncheon on Tuesday June 20th, but those plans have been cancelled. As a result, I thought a written testimony might glorify our Lord instead. Also, a PowerPoint slide presentation with pictures of the trip is available. The file is too big to email, but I would be happy to send you a CD upon request.

Our team traveled on Sunday May 21st and took four separate airlines to reach Pemba, Mozambique the evening of Tuesday May 23rd. For the first week, the team of 19 of us from Harvest International Ministries and Rock Creek Community Church in Beaverton ministered at Iris Ministries with Heidi & Rolland Baker. The staff with Iris was on retreat, and we attempted to fill-in wherever needed. Some of the team came with construction skills and helped finish painting projects and building plans for the new school on site. Others served in the medical clinic, the toddler house and the classrooms teaching English. Iris Ministries is training nearly 100 pastors; my job was to serve the pastors. I provided teaching and ministry for the breaking of bitterroot judgments, healing the wounded heart and I shared my testimony. It seemed the Lord wanted to heal as well as equip these pastors for the work ahead.

Another characteristic of Iris Ministries is the "Evening Outreach." Twice while we were there, our team and a team of Iris pastors piled in a truck (45+ of us piled in there!) and traveled to a village about an hour away. The first night we showed the Jesus movie with a portable screen, projector and generator. Many received Jesus and we prayed for healings. Blind eyes were opened as the team prayed! One woman grabbed my hands and put them on her belly. I had no idea what the problem was, but God knew and according to her faith, she was healed. It was incredible.

The next night, we reluctantly piled in the truck again asking this time, "How long is the drive?" They said "Half an hour." We thought "okay." Forty-five stinky sweaty people piled in on top of each other and braced for a bumpy ride down dirt roads in the dark. Two hours into this drive we asked "Are we there yet?" We were crying "uncle" in the back! Well it turns out half an hour is the standard measurement for driving in Africa. We called it "Africa time." Suddenly the driver realized we missed our turn forty-five minutes earlier. We asked if we could just minister where we were. It was a well-populated Muslim village. Pastor Mark asked the village chief if we could show a movie and preach. He wanted the equivalent of $2.5 dollars. Mark paid him and we scrambled out of the truck to set up the video. The video didn't work. But the commotion had attracted hundreds of people. So in the providence of the Lord, Mark just started preaching. "Jesus is alive and he is here tonight" he said. The crowd yelled, "You're a liar!" Mark said, "The Lord is going to heal a deaf ear. Who is deaf?" A man came forward and the Lord instantly healed him. The man spoke into the microphone "I can hear!" The crowd yelled back, "You're a liar!" Mark said, "Bring me ALL the deaf!" The deaf came, and Jesus healed each and every one. Deaf ears were opened! Suddenly the crowd went wild and surged toward us. Over the course of the evening, Mark gave the invitation to receive Jesus three times. Each time, more came to salvation. Meanwhile the team was praying for the people. I had likely 20 people ask me to pray for headaches. Finally I asked through the interpreter what causes the headaches. He said it was malaria. Each one was healed and more came. When they got their healing they would hold their thumbs up and tell others. We prayed for backs, necks, tummies and lots of ears. Then a man came for prayer with a badly damaged knee. As I prayed the swelling went down in my hands. God moved miraculously to save and heal all that came. We estimate 600 or more were there that night and 80% received Jesus as their Savior. The Lord saved the best for last. The chief came forward, announced to his village in the microphone that he accepted Jesus and wanted everyone to meet him at 9:00 am in the morning to evangelize 7 nearby villages because Jesus is alive and he does heal!

Iris Ministries will be sending a pastor and building a church for this village to ensure strong continued support and follow-up. Iris Ministries currently has over 6 thousand churches of this nature all over Africa.

The next week we flew to Dar Es Salaam in Tanzania. This city has approximately 3 million people, most of which are Muslim. Drivers picked us up at the airport from the Mikumi Wildlife Camp and drove us for 4.5 hours to an area outside of Morogoro. We spent the night in rustic cabins with mosquito nets and really big bugs! We woke early for safari through the African savannah the next morning. We saw elephants, giraffe, zebras, birds, wild boar, water buffalo, a hippo and baboons! It was a well-needed rest for us as we prepared for the next leg of our journey ministering in Morogoro and churches and villages in Dar Es Salaam.

As much as the Lord used us for healing and deliverance, He also did a healing work in each of us. We ministered to each other throughout the course of our adventure and lasting friendships were developed that I will always treasure.

In Morogoro we ministered at a Pastor's Conference. Once again the Lord put me to work training pastors and I had an opportunity to teach in the general assembly. In the evening we preached and offered prayer to all who came. We had an open heaven again; the Lord answered each prayer for healing. Then a pastor came to me and asked for prayer. "What do you need?" I asked. He said, "Toilets. We are so embarrassed that we don't have toilets for the church." In the spirit I thought I heard the Lord laugh and say, he would provide toilets and much, much more for them. Their "facilities" had been fashioned just for the conference. It was a cement slab with two holes. The draping of bags over wood posts provided privacy. I felt incredibly humbled. We are so blessed in America that we take hot water, running water and toilets for granted.

The next day of the conference the police arrived and confiscated all of our passports. Tensions were high and fervent prayer was lifted up. Finally, the officers took Pastor Mark and Andy to the immigration office. One of our team members Ray addressed the general assembly with scriptures about submitting to authority and trusting God. He did an incredible job preaching. With Mark gone, once again I was sent to train the pastors. This time I taught from Ephesians about marriage and authority and how that is to mirror the way Christ loves the church. Just before I finished, Mark returned with Andy safe and sound. He had to pay the government officials an additional $200 but we were allowed to stay in the country.

Then it was time for baptisms, Rock Creek style. Only the water in the pool was so murky we were reluctant to get in it! Our medical team was sure there were organisms in the water, and us Americans were truly challenged as to what to do. The African people headed right into that green water (mold was growing on the side of the pool) without hesitation. The Americans prayed from the edge of the pool. The Holy Spirit hit that water as we prayed and prophesied to each one. There were 12 baptisms that day I think. As we prayed and laid hands on them, they were slain in the Spirit and went straight down in the water! Fortunately there were African pastors in the water to catch them and pull them out!

The next day we traveled to Dar Es Salaam where we were separated into teams of 3 and dropped off at different churches in the city to preach for the day! The teacher in me likes to prepare for hours with all my perfect little notes. But God was breaking me of that on this trip. When it was my turn to preach I just had to open my mouth and He filled it. I didn't know what was going to come out until it did! One evening Andy and I were sent to a tiny little village to evangelize. I had never made the call to Christ from a podium before, but in His mercy 8 were saved in that tiny village that night. We prayed for each one and over all of the children. We taught them how to sing "Jesus loves the little children" and they translated it into Swahili. Nothing could have been more precious~!

There were a few other highlights to share. After our team preached at one church about the five-fold ministry and the raising-up of children, the pastor called his congregation to repentance for the way they had been treating the children. Sue and I wept. God is doing something mighty in the children of Africa. They will carry the light of revival! Like tender young plants in the garden, we exhorted parents to nurture them as the prophets, apostles, teachers, pastors and evangelists of the next generation.

A couple of days later, we returned to that particular church and were moved of God to repent for the sins of the white man against that nation. Sue, Andy and I held hands and got on our knees before God weeping for the sins of slavery that had put this nation in spiritual bondage and oppressed them with poverty and affliction. We broke the curses upon the land and confessed these sins against the people. (Dar Es Salaam was a huge port where slaves had been taken from Africa for hundreds of years.) I asked the Sr. Pastor to come forward and we symbolically broke the chains of bondage off of him and his people. Then we prayed the blessings of Deut. 28 over the congregation. The Lord wanted to give them a new vision for themselves as a Holy Royal Priesthood, free from slavery, free from bondage, and blessed of God. His glory fell on that place so think and heavy we could hardly speak. Then declarations of praise erupted and tears ran down my face.

I recall Mark saying to me at the end of a day such as this, "Not bad for a day at the office!" It was such a mountaintop experience with the Lord; words could not describe the elation.

On our last night in Dar Es Salaam, one of the last ones up for prayer was a man whose face was dark and leathery. He was deeply tormented and distressed. He told me through the translator that he heard demons all the time. He had been a Muslim, but accepted Jesus just two weeks earlier. He needed deliverance. Andy, Sue and I prayed for him fervently and he was set free. His entire countenance changed and for the first time we saw him smile. I heard the Lord whisper in my ear, "Katie would you have come to Africa for just this one?" Without hesitation I said, "Yes Lord. For just this one."

We may never know all that was accomplished on this trip for the Lord. But I came home a different person. I often tell people "I was bitten by the Africa bug!" There is a hunger and thirst in my heart for more revival, more supernatural healings, and more of Jesus than ever before. I'm already making my lists of what to bring next year when I return to see what the Lord has done.

In a very important way each of you have touched my life. Thank you for your prayers, financial support and encouragement. You helped make this trip possible.

All glory and honor and praise to God! May His richest blessings be upon each of you!

In His Grip,

Kay Tolman

Think Upon These Things.....

Deuteronomy 28:1  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

The blessings of God are promised to us.  We all desire to have good things in our lives and those who love us.  We pray for blessing to come not only for ourselves, but for others.  Sometimes we find ourselves working hard to obtain the promises of God and perchance get "blessed."  When someone asks us how we are, we reply, "I'm blessed."  Are you really blessed?  The above verses state that IF we obey God's commandments the blessings will OVERTAKE us.  Right about now you are probably wondering why they are not "overtaking" you.  You may be thinking, "Why then does it seem like everything is a struggle for me? Seems like I can't ever get ahead, and the blessings of Deut 28 are few and far between."

Some might say, "I'm saved, healthy, I have a good job, a roof over my head, food in the cupboard, and gas in my car.  I am blessed."  True, however these things you WORKED for.  I'm talking about the blessings of abundance, increase, and supernatural favor --- the ones that run you down!

We all want those things, but perhaps "somewhere along the way," the truth of the matter has been lost.
These promises are for YOU!  How do we get them then?  How do we obtain the precious promises of God? The answer to that is in the word, but first I want to speak to those who may think that the promises may only be for those 12 tribes of Isreal and the remnant. Or that the promise of supernatural blessing somehow stopped when the book of Matthew began.

Deu 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!

How long is always?  How long is forever???
Always is a continuous state, and forever is everlasting, indefinate or unending.

Now, who are "their children?"  Let's look at this NEW Testament truth.
Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also glorified together.

There ARE blessings, and they are available for us as the children of God.  But how do we obtain them?  God said in Deuteronomy 28 that if we obey His commandments, we wouln't have to find the blessings, the blessings would find us.  BUT there are so many rules and regs of the Old Testament!  How could anyone remember each and every little thing?  Maybe God is just dangling a supernatural carrot in front of us -- NOT!

I love my Jesus, He makes all things new.  He did not come to do away with the law, but to fulfill or DO it for us!  He accomplished every point, yet was without sin.  THANK YOU LORD!
Ok, then what is our part?  Some might say, "Just believe and that's all you have to do."  I don't find that anywhere in Scripture.  Even salvation requires more than that!  We must believe in our heart and confess with our mouth...THEN we will be saved.  Remember, the devil believes...He ain't blessed!

Remember we are not talking about salvation here, it is supposed to be the very first step we take in Christ -- not the last.  We are talking about the benefits of being a child of God - the benefits that run you down and overtake you.  God himself said that if we obey His commandments that the blessings would flow.  Here's what Jesus had to say about it.

Mark 12:28 And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?
29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear (hear and DO), O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: (This is the Shema, If you want more info on it let me know.)
30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.
31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

Why is this the answer?  Because if you do this, it will fulfill all the other stuff.  In essence it is Matthew 6:33;
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

His kingdom is His way of doing things.
Hear and DO the Word of God and the river of blessings will OVERFLOW in your life!!!
You have His WORD on it!

Wanting the blessing will not bring it to pass.
Asking for the blessing will not bring it to pass.

It's all about putting Him first in ALL things.
Whatsoever you do - do it as unto Him (Col 3:17).

Father, let the river flow in the lives of your children. Teach us to obey your word, love You more and love each other more!

Greater Than - Less Than

Greater Than - Less Than

1 John 4:4  Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Family,
We have all done simple math.  Do you remember the < and > symbols?  I always called them "greater than" and "less than."

The thing is when using symbols that are so similar to each other visually, we get them confused sometimes.  When I was in school I would miss questions that asked me to put in the proper symbol, just because I would get them mixed up!  That is, until the day I got the "picture."  The "greater than" symbol always points out what is lesser!
6>3
Jesus > Satan!!!
Jesus > Issues
Jesus > Sickness
Jesus > My Past
Jesus > Anything that you come up against today!

The enemy will try to confuse you visually too!  Remember: satan has no real power...only tricks of magnification and imagery...he tries to make things "GREATER THAN" they really are.  AND he tries to make himself "GREATER THAN" God.  He IS a LIAR!  That's why we walk by faith and not by sight!  You can't always trust what you see and it's easy to get confused, that is, until you get the picture.

Point out (even though your mother told you it is not polite to point...do it anyway!) every thing in your life today that tries to make itself "greater" than Him.  When you see it, stop what you are doing, point your finger right at his nose and call it what it is...a big fat lie.

                    Satan is a liar!

Truly...Greater is He that is in me,
than he that is in the world.

Isn't He a wonder???
I love you all!

Metamorphose: From A Catapillar to A Butterfly

by: Beloved Servant
Jun 17, 2006

Rom 12:2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The disciples were ordinary men, just as we are ordinary "Called Out Ones, they were called of God, to leave their nets and secular positions to follow Christ.
Mar 10:29 Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel's sake,

These men struggled with their faith, having seen miracles take place before them, and shortly after, they had forgotten what had just taken place and were in unbelief. They struggled with pride and the fear of man, they denied Christ and even abandoned him, not a whole lot different then we are at times.

The disciples did many miracles, because the Lord was upon them, just as He was David in His mighty exploits, Samson and many of those who were mighty men of God, God was with them.

These men went through a radical change that made them powerful men of God, and men of faith. What brought about that change? It was the power of God, they RECEIVED, the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit actually came into them. John 20:23. They were changed by the power of God, when they received His fullness. The baptism was even more power given to them to boldy preach the word fearlessly

The difference here is that when we are born again, our spirits are regenerated, it is like getting a seed, that has been planted within us, and it needs light, it needs to be watered, and it needs to grow, When we receive the Holy Spirit in the baptisim of the Holy Spirit, it is not the fullness, it is not the means to an end, it is really only the begining. Pentecost is not the end it is the begining, there is much more to come.

But today, I want to share with you revelation about this change the disciples experienced and how you can receive it.

These men were transformed by the power of God, they were given the light of God. God is light and there is no darkness in Him, he is all light. And when Jesus Christ was transfigured on the MT. of Olives, the disciples saw Him as white as light.

Mat 17:1 And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart:

Mat 17:2 and he was transfigured before them; and his face did shine as the sun, and his garments became white as the light.

Now that word transfigured is the same word used in Romans 12 :2 Transformed

Rom 12:2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Metamorphoo-Literally or figuratively is Metamorphose, change, transfigure, transform. The same process that transforms a catapillar into a beautiful butterfly. both transfigured in Matt 17:1 and the word traansformed in Romans 12:2, have the exact same meaning.

So how are we transformed into this new man by the spirit. It is by the amount of light we receive from the Lord, and the word. Jesus is the word, He is the light, so just by His being with disciples brought much light into their lives. So the more of the word and the Lord's Presence you take into your lives the more light you will have. The world is full of darkness, you cannot get light in the world, it is through Christ who gives us light, He does it as we study His word, He does it as we abide in him, He does it as we learn to tune in to the Spirit. As we abide in Him, that life that flows into us just like into the vine is the light of the Holy
Spirit, that we receive continually as we cling to Him. He gives us wisdom and understanding, as we tune into Him, by listening in our hearts to what he is saying.

You cannot get the things of the spirit from listening to a sermon that comes from the intellect, or head knowledge, it is only spiritually discerned, and it comes about through listening to your heart where He resides, and walking in the Spirit.

The word says that thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105, The entrance of the words giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple. Psalms 119:130.

We need the light and the disciples were clearly transformed by the light of the Holy Spirit when they received Him. When we are born again, we do not get that fullness but what we do receive from the spirit the seed which must be tended like a garden. We are responsible to seek the Lord, and to learn as much from him as possible.

The reason so many are not living the overcoming life is because they have not been transformed by the renewing of their mind with the word of God, and they do not make the things of the spirit their priority. They are not walking in the Spirit, but the dictates of their own flesh.
1Jo 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

Men love darkness because their deeds are evil. Light exposes the darkness that is why people do not want the light, they want to walk half way in the world and halfway in the Lord, but brothers and sisters that is why you stumble, that is why you cannot handle certain situations, because there is not enough light in You. What will you do when the Lord brings judgement to the earth, how will you handle disaster after disaster in your own home territory, with out the fullness of the Holy Spirit, you cannot stand. you must make Him everything in your life, He will not settle for piece meal.

Do you understand? this is why Paul and the disciples were able to suffer great persecution, because they had the power of God, it was unmistakable, and all the trials they went through. Paul was raised from the dead. It was the power of God, what do you think is the power of God, it is His glory, it is His light, He glory is His light.

Rev 21:23 And the city hath no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine upon it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the lamp thereof is the Lamb.

Rev 21:24 And the nations shall walk amidst the light thereof: and the kings of the earth bring their glory into it.

Rev 21:11 having the glory of God: her light was like unto a stone most precious, as it were a jasper stone, clear as crystal:

When you walk in the flesh there is no light, when you walk in the spirit, you are filled with light, and everyone that comes in touch with you, knows that you are full of God. Why? God is light, and their is no darkness in Him. Darkness is the absence of light, so then if you are not full of God, then you are still in darkness. So if you are walking in darkness or in the flesh, you are not in the spirit and God is not in You. Something to think about.

Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you. But if any man hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

So the fullness of God, comes from being transformed by the renewing of the mind. By being filled with His light. Having no part of the world, the flesh and the devil. it is not an instant trans formation process, that is why the word says to:

Rom 12:2 And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I want to look at something else here.in 1 Corinthians 15:52, it is not talking about the same thing
1Co 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. the word is in the greek is : allaso meaning to make different to change. This is the changing of the body from flesh to a spiriritual body.g

What is being transformed by the renewing of the mind is the soul, which is the mind, will and emotions. This is what must be changed into Christ's image. tra

It is this change, the metamorphose that changes us from the catapillar to the butterfly. It is only by the fullness of the spirit, His light, Hi s glory that we will do those things that are greater then He did.

To be able to overcome even in persecution, and martyrdom. We need more of the Holy Spirit, we need to be transformed, by metamorphose.

Greater is He who is in us, then He who is in the world. This is true when we have the Holy spirit , living and powerful in our life. We cannot overcome the devil without walking in the Holy spirit, and full of light.

He is darkness and he cannot be overcome except by light. God is light and you will be full of His light and glory when you will receive all of Him by renewing your mind and filling your spirit with the things of the spirit.

Luk 11:34 The lamp of thy body is thine eye: when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when it is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Being single minded means the word simplicity which means singleness of mind, it means toward God ONLY. duplicity is double minded , which James says is unstable in all of his ways. So to be filled with His light we must have your focus on Him only. What you take in with your eyes, what you look at, what you read, this detrmines the light that you receive from the Lord. gaze upon the Lord and he will fill you with His light, and you will be transformed from a catapillar to a butterfly.

Desert Time

In the past several weeks the Lord has been dropping what I call, "pop shots" into my mind.  It isn't something He says long or even really deep at the time.  He drops a word or event and then lets me "chew and mull" on it.  Then He drops another peice to it and we do that for awhile until finally I seem to get a whole picture.  My life gets pretty busy these days and I am glad that the Lord seems to understand.  How I long for a prayer get-a-way!

Anyway, I have been going over and over the Israelites on that desert journey.  You know, we really haven't changed much.  You think human kind would have learned.  So, here I am, I find myself going around the same bush, the same mountain, the same pothole AGAIN!  I begin to grumble, complain, wonder why I am here again, what didn't I learn, etc etc.

The Lord promised the children of Israel a lot IF (yes, the BIG IF) they would obey HIm.  We serve a "IF...THEN... God"  Okay, for those of you who are now saying, "We are not under the Law ....."  I agree.  Jesus came to fulfill the law!  He completed it!  HALLELUJAH!  He gave them over 600 laws to obey!  Who could ever do that?  Today if you ask somewhat what they think God would have us to obey, the majority will say at least, the 10 commandments.  Yet, we fail miserably even at that!   Jesus came and boiled it down even further.  Love the Lord your God with all you are and love your neighbor as yourself.   OOOOPS  even THAT one is hard at times.

So, here I am again with this problem in my life that I just can't seem to get victory over.  Here I am again dealing with the same old feelings and memories.  What if....just what if.....I started thanking God for that same old situation and starting seeing the beauty in it.  AUGH...How can I say that?  Well, in the desert we think there is no life and it is just a hot, dry, dusty, sandy place.  But oh...how much more it is!  There is plenty of life and beauty in the desert.  We have to open our eyes to see it.  We have to look for it.  Sometimes we have to pursue it.

People have disagreed over how many people were in the desert with Moses. All I can say is that there had to have been a lot!  There was so many that Pharoah sure didn't want to see them go.  Who would do all his work?  Personally, I believe that a million or two is not to much to think about considering the size of the city etc.  So, let's go conservative.  Even the low figure that theologians may quote is 300,000.  To a small townie like me, even that is a lot of people.  Stop with me and consider some practical things here.

How much water would it have taken to provide for these people EACH day?  Figure 5 gallons a person on average.  That is 1,500,000 gallons!  That would be 150 10,000 gallon tankers a day!  Where would the firewood come to keep them warm at night or cook their food?  How about how much food it would take!  Truckloads upon truckloads.   It would be quite overwhelming wouldn't it.  Yet, God provided for them daily!!  Remember the quail he brought to them?  How many pigeons do you think one person could eat and how many does that add up to?  Think about those things and it will blow your mind!   Can you imagine the sunsets and sunrises?

My point is this.....God WILL provide for us.  There is provision in your desert!  There is life in your desert!  There is hope in your desert!  The journey, in my opinion, would have been drastically shortened IF those kids would have been thankful and trusting, praising and worshipping in the midst of their difficulties.

Take a lesson from what they didn't do.  Start applying simple principles.  As you say to this mountain, "Be removed..." Oh the key word....faith!  Faith is born out of desperation!  Use this time in the desert as the next stepping stone to the promises of God in your life!  When the children of Israel crossed the Jordan...stones were put into the river to remind them.  Remember your desert experiance by keeping it a short one.  See it as one of those stones to get you to the River!  The River of God!

Blessings,

Julie

My Fathers Love

        My Fathers Love

A seed the garden knew to be.
Could speak with flowers all could see.
Where water, light, and purity.
Would marvel at my Fathers love.

Lovely flowers, how can it be.
Endless the beauty, the petals and leaves.
And no ones wisdom arrayed like these.
And I marveled at my Fathers love.

Garden of love and purity.
That even secrets never see.
And water and light tell all to believe.
And marvel at my Fathers Love.

A seed the Garden knew to be.
Along with water and light from above.
Did speak of a harvest more than conceived.
Because of my Heavenly Fathers love.

Loving Your Enemies

By: Beloved Servant
May 31, 2006

I went to  my garden this  morning to be alone with the Lord.  I have a special place in my garden I like to go it is quiet and I hear the birds and see God's magnificent glory all around me, it is in a shady garden that I made, and I have a hammock and so I like to go there and talk to God about things.

Recently my husband has been talking to me about going to the Holy Spirit to ask Him something I need to know, instead of a human person.  And recently a sister gave me that confirmation by a word from the Lord, that I am to seek what I need only from the Lord, He will lead me.  We have all have a tendency to forget this sometimes and if we will just aks the Lord he will surely give us the answer.

And the Lord spoke to me this morning, he gave me a scripture out of the blue. "Pray for those who despitefully use you".  And when I went back inside I began to read that chapter in the scriptures, Luke 6:28.

The Lord spoke volumes to me in that chapter, It was in a whole new way of my understanding.

This is on the beatitudes, that is what we call it, but it is a teaching of a way of life that Jesus Christ expects from us. Luke 6:20-38.
Blessed are ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. The Lord has a heart for the poor, he has great compassion on the poor, I know that many who teach the beatitudes wills say it is only those spiritually poor, that it doesn't mean poverty poor.  But the Lord showed me that it does mean that, because they are usually spiritually poor as we ll.

Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled, blessed are ye that weep now for ye shall laugh. Those who are without, often weep, they find it difficult to laugh, but God says that in the kingdom they will weep no more and will laugh.

The Lord is actually telling them what is coming, what they can expect and what He expects from them.

Blessed are ye when men shall hate you and when they will separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of mans' sake.

It isn't such a good thing to have everyone love you, to have a name before men, to have people say good things about you.  God says that you are blessed when they do the opposite, when they hate you and say all manner of evil about you, when you have done nothing wrong  Rejoice in that day and leap for joy the Lord is saying, because y our reward is great in heaven.
Because this is what they did to the prophets, they scorned them they hated them and said all manner of evil against them in those days.

Wow, here is one that is always over looked.

"But woe unto you that are rich!"  That doesn't sound like He means spiritually rich does it? He goes on to say, for ye have received your consolation.  You have wanted to be rich and now I have comforted you with riches but now you have had your consolation.
If you look at Amos 6:1 it says, "woe to them that are at ease in Zion!" and in Luke 12:20-21"but God said unto him, thou fool this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall those things be, which thou has provided? So is he that layeth up treasures for himself, and is not rich toward God."

"Woe unto you that are full for ye shall hunger, woe u nto you that laugh now, for ye shall mourn and weep.
He is talking about those who strive for riches, those who covet things, and will cheat those to get what they want.  he isn't talking here about those that God has blessed with riches.  God does bless, just like He did Abraham, who was found to be righteous because of his faith, and Solomon because he did not ask for riches or wealth he asked for wisdom and knowledge and because he did not ask for riches, God made him very rich.

So the key here is to seek God, not riches, and not mans opinion of you.  "He says woe unto you when all men speak well of you, for so did their father to the prophets".

But I say unto you that hear, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that despitefully use you.  Jesus Christ did that on the cross, when He forgave those who put Him there.
The Lord says to give to every man that asks of you, that we are not to just love those who love us, we have to go beyond what someone else does, sinners do the same but we are the Lord's and we go that extra mile even if it hurts.
Sinners lend, sinners are always good to those who are good to them, love those who love them but we are to be like Christ.  And Jesus Christ says to love our enemies, do good to them, lend without expecting return, and our reward shall be great and we shall be the children of the highest, for he is kind to the unthankful, and the evil. Be merciful for our Father in heaven is merciful. Judge not and you will not be judged, condemn not and you shall not be condemned and forgive, and you shall be forgiven.
The amazing thing is  the next verse is used by churches for the tithe, and for the prosperity preachers, but look at this context.

This comes right after the previous verses and it is all speaking about the same thing.
Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your bosom.  For with the same measure that ye mete, it withal it shall be measured unto you again.  Wow this is a promise for our obedience.

Brothers and sisters, what it is saying here is if we love our enemies and do good to them, even those who might use us, or even cheat us out of something, if we give to them without expecting to get back,  not judging them or condemning them and we give from our hearts, what we give shall be measured back to us, good measure shaken together and running over men shall give to us.

This is not talking about the tithe, it is talking about giving when we are asked, le nding when we are asked, not expecting to get it back. Not judging their motives, yes there are times when people might be selfishly using us, but the Lord says to love them just as He does, pray for them, being merciful to the just as well as the unjust.

I know this is an issue with many in the body, as I remember when I use to evangelize in the streets and I would give as the Lord would lead me, when someone would put a hand  out the Lord would prompt me to give, I didn't know if that person had an alcohol problem or drugs, more then likely many did as they were sitting in the streets.  But when the Lord prompts us we are not to argue and think about whether it will be put to the right use, once it is out of our hands the receiver has to answer to God for what he or she does with it.
We are to be led by the Spirit of God in all that we do, not people, not our fleshly though ts.

Some prefer to buy a meal instead, and that is good too, but it is saying here not to judge, but to do it, if the Lord prompts you to do it, don't argue it away.

We are all called to be accountable, we are to be good stewards, but from these scriptures it is clearly a blessing to give to our enemies, even when they do us wrong.  Our God is watching over the whole process and nothing is hid from his eyes, yet He rains down on the just and the unjust.

As ministers of God we must remember that we are ambassadors for God and of God, and that everything we do we are accountable to him, because our actions can bring Him to open shame. That we who are called by His name would do such an evil thing, would be unthinkable.
So it seems to me that if we are to follow in Jesus footsteps we need to do what we see him doing, because He never did or said anything that he did not see His Father doing.
Romans 12: 20 "If thy enemy hunger, give him to eat, if he thirst, give him to drink, for in doing so thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.
Meaning that to do acts of kindness to him just as Christ would, will certainly make him think about their actions because love will touch any heart.  We must be  kind as our Lord is kind in all matters and to everyone.  And though it goes against our human nature, that is the Lord's will.

Disappointment~His Appointment

"Disappointment~His Appointment";

change one letter, then I see

that the thwarting of my purpose

is God's better choice for me.

His appointment must be blessing

though it may come in disguise;

for the end, from the beginning,

open to His vision lies.

"Disappointment~His Appointment."

Whose? The Lord who loves me best,

understands and knows me fully,

who my faith and love would test.

For like loving earthly parents

He rejoices when He knows

that His child accepts unquestioned

all that from His wisdom flows.

"Disappointment~His Appointment";

no good things will He withhold.

From denials oft we gather

treasures of His love untold.

Well He knows each broken purpose

leads to a fuller, deeper trust,

and the end of all His dealings

proves our God is wise and just.

"Disappointment~His Appointment";

Lord I take it then as such,

like clay in the hands of the potter

yielding wholly to His touch.

My life's plan is all His molding;

not one single choice be mine.

Let me answer unrepining,

"Father, not my will, but Thine."

Don't begin until you count the cost

This is written by Pastor Rick Godwin, but because of the article the Lord had me post just yesterday called 'A Wife of Noble Character', I felt it was important to share this at the same time. Lisabeth sent it to me this morning and I believe that the encouragement as well as correction through Rick Godwin are a tremendous blessing and much needed in the body of Christ today.

"Don't begin until you count the cost."
Luke 14:28 NLT
By: Rick Godwin
Before you opt for divorce....

A counselor who had a friend contemplating divorce writes: "She didn't want to hear anything from us. . she'd made up her mind. So in frustration my friends and I compiled a list: what we wish we'd known before we got divorced. We'd each experienced the upheaval of divorce and watched our friends' second marriages end." (1) Life will change more than you realize: Dividing assets isn't always equitable. Instead of 2 people parenting your kids, if you have custody, you become breadwinner, spiritual advisor and disciplinarian. Stress levels become staggering. You ache watching your children doling out their time in an effort not to alienate either parent. And the hassles don't end when your kids grow up and marry, they continue with your grandkids. (2) Life won't be more carefree: Every birthday, holiday, wedding or funeral is a potential nightmare. Emotional wounds pop open when you least expect. One woman says, "Every Christmas I become depressed. After 20 years it still hits me; I was married in December and my childhood sweetheart left me for another woman 15 Decembers later." You're seldom free from the effects of that broken first marriage. (3) It affects more than just you. Friends who don't want to pick sides, distance themselves. Relationships with those who remain loyal - change. Family members who loved and cared for your ex, are forced to "divorce" as well. Blending children from previous marriages brings problems. . .Life's more complicated than ever. Like children, we let our desire for momentary pleasure pull us from God's best, rather than doing the hard work it takes to turn short-term pain into long-term gain.

A Wife of Noble Character

A WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER....

EVERY WISE woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands. Proverbs 14:1 AMP

Lately I have been meditating on the above scripture, and the reason is because I can honestly remember all the way back to my salvation. I was so excited about the Lord that I really got into the Word of God because I wanted to find out what God expected of me. Who was I, what was I called to, what did God think of me and how was I supposed to live out my life now that I was a new creature in Christ? The one thing I remember most vividly is that when I read Proverbs 31 I knew I wanted to be like that woman. I married very soon after meeting Jesus and wanted my husband to have full confidence in me and to be known as someone who would always bring good to him and not harm. I wanted to be known as a woman who worked hard to take care of her family and as one who would be such a builder of her husband that he would one day be known in the city gates where he would be a respected elder.

Proverbs 31:25-31 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

FROM HUMILITY TO PRIDE...

I think since the beginning of time the enemy has taken many of us who started out in such a wonderful place of thankfulness and humility to a deceptive place of ungratefulness and pride. I have shared with you before that when I write I am sharing from my own life experiences and the things that the Holy Spirit has walked me through. It is never my heart to come across as judgmental or critical of others. In fact it is always my hope that as I openly share my own trials, tests and struggles that in some way the things that I have walked through would help others to grow as well. I would like us to take a look at Ephesians 4 & 5. I will add portions here below. You will not understand this article unless you take the time to read them. I encourage you to read both chapters in their entirety, but I won't be posting them here for space reasons.

Ephesians 4:1-6

1I THEREFORE, the prisoner for the Lord, appeal to and beg you to walk (lead a life) worthy of the [divine] calling to which you have been called [with behavior that is a credit to the summons to God's service,

2Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another.

3Be eager and strive earnestly to guard and keep the harmony and oneness of [and produced by] the Spirit in the binding power of peace.

4[There is] one body and one Spirit--just as there is also one hope [that belongs] to the calling you received--

5[There is] one Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6One God and Father of [us] all, Who is above all [Sovereign over all], pervading all and [living] in [us] all.

Ephesians 4:14-18

14So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every changing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of [a]unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.

15Rather, let our lives lovingly [b]express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

16For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love.

17So this I say and solemnly testify in [the name of] the Lord [as in His presence], that you must no longer live as the heathen (the Gentiles) do in their perverseness [in the folly, vanity, and emptiness of their souls and the futility] of their minds.

18Their [a]moral understanding is darkened and their reasoning is beclouded. [They are] alienated (estranged, self-banished) from the life of God [with no share in it; this is] because of the ignorance (the want of knowledge and perception, the willful blindness) that is [b]deep-seated in them, due to their hardness of heart [to the insensitiveness of their moral nature].

Ephesians 4:29-32

29Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it.

30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God [do not offend or vex or sadden Him], by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's own, secured) for the day of redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin).

31Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

32And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 5:15-21

15Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),

16Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil.

17Therefore do not be vague and thoughtless and foolish, but understanding and firmly grasping what the will of the Lord is.

18And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but ever be filled and stimulated with the [Holy] Spirit.(A)

19Speak out to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, offering praise with voices [[a]and instruments] and making melody with all your heart to the Lord,

20At all times and for everything giving thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God the Father.

21Be subject to one another out of reverence for Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

The End...

OR IS IT?

Actually if you know your bible you know as well as I do that Ephesians 5 doesn't stop at verse 21. In fact it goes on through verse 33. It speaks to us about our marriages. It gives us light and shares with us what God expects of both the husband and the wife. Paul just told us how to walk in unity, but he couldn't possibly mean in our homes too could he? Dear ones, I believe the answer is YES. Sadly, many have done just what I did above (added'The End'). They close the book at verse 21 and don't want to believe that the in all reality this was all one thought, one letter and one teaching. Paul did not move on from one thing to another. He wasn't bouncing all over the place and trying to teach us many different subjects. In fact in both Ephesians 4 & 5 Paul is still talking about the same thing which is'Unity in the body of Christ', but once he gets to verses 22 thru 33 we somehow feel he wasn't speaking to us or he couldn't possibly be speaking about my marriage. We so want to believe that we are pleasing to the Lord, mature in the Spirit and walking in the unity that Paul speaks of that we completely close our eyes to the fact that our own spouse is a brother or sister in Christ.

Let's look at Ephesians 4:2

2Living as becomes you] with complete lowliness of mind (humility) and meekness (unselfishness, gentleness, mildness), with patience, bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another. Many would say this is how their walk with Christ is daily, but can you honestly say this is happening in your marriage? Paul says 'Complete lowliness of mind (humility)', but I have sadly watched the enemy kill Christian marriages today. You've probably seen it happen in your circle of friends as well. Through a false sense of self righteousness a woman begins to exalt herself, her spirituality and her mind above her husbands and once this thought is entertained the door is opened for strife and every evil work. If unity is not immediately brought back in, that false spirit of self righteousness grows into a destructive spirit of pride.

Let's look at Ephesians 4:16

16For because of Him the whole body (the church, in all its various parts), closely joined and firmly knit together by the joints and ligaments with which it is supplied, when each part [with power adapted to its need] is working properly [in all its functions], grows to full maturity, building itself up in love. Who is more closely joined then a husband and a wife? This verse says that 'when each part is working properly we grow into maturity and are building up in love. Yet, I have found that often times husbands and wives tear each other down. Not only in their own homes, but sometimes even in conversations to others or what about the destruction caused when husbands are disrespected in front of the children, or wives are not loved in front of the children? So isn't the opposite affect happening here? If the married couple is not working together properly can't we assume that they are not growing into maturity?

Let's look at Ephesians 4:29 29Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God's favor) to those who hear it. Wow, this is really a mind blower. Husbands and wives have arguments. They don't always agree do they? Is it possible to argue without tearing others down? Is it possible to disagree and still walk in spiritual maturity, humility and love toward the one you are in disagreement with? I admit that there are times when my husband and I have argued and I almost (I said almost. lol..) felt out of control. While I am in the midst of being angry I know that I am not walking in blessing and grace. It almost seems impossible to have 'loud fellowship' without unwholesome talk. However, I do know that what Paul is speaking of here is possible. How do I know? Because although I sadly have done the opposite of what Paul is saying here in my past, my husband has never in our entire marriage turned on me, tore me down, cursed at me or said hurtful things. I can honestly say that I am being changed by watching his behavior.

Let's look at Ephesians 4:31-32

31Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind).

32And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.

Paul is speaking to EVERYONE here. Not just our church friends, the people in the store or our neighbors. He is speaking of you and your spouse and me and my spouse. He tells us not to be bitter or resentful, not to quarrel and never to slander. He asks us to be tenderhearted and forgiving, but today in the body of Christ there seem to be less and less examples of what God meant for us in marriage. In some cases even Spiritual Leaders have divorced and we have watched as the two parted in bitterness, slander and anger which only comes through hard heartedness. Statistics show that Christians are divorcing at a rate almost higher than unbelievers and that many who are remaining married are not necessarily happy. In fact some actually believe they hate each other, but knowing that God hates divorce they stick it out month after month and year after year even though their lives at home are far from the life that God intended for His children in marriage.

ARE WE JUST HYPOCRITES?

Don't shout me down here. I had no intention of saying that, but God told me to as I was writing this. Anyone who wishes to walk in offence take it up with the Lord because again I am in no way trying to offend. In fact when I write I am listening to the Holy Spirit and about 99% of the time I am changed and convicted myself by what I am trying to share with you.

Ephesians 5:22-24

22Wives, be subject (be submissive and adapt yourselves) to your own husbands as [a service] to the Lord. 23For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. 24As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. Do we really understand why the word submission is hated in the body of Christ? It's not only hated by women who don't want to live it in their marriage, but many men fall short in this area as well. For one they completely ignore Ephesians 5:21 which asks us to submit one to another in the fear of the Lord, but also the enemy has taken the word 'Submission' and destroyed it in the church. Because it is God's way and because Jesus was our greatest example of submission (to the pain and death of the cross) he (Satan) has through false doctrine, false teachers and much error made us believe that submission is a dirty word. The truth is submission is a beautiful thing. God used it to offer salvation to you and I.

Haven't we yet realized that like the Pharisee's of Jesus day we can look wonderful on the outside, but be filthy on the inside? Jesus said that it wasn't what went into us that made us filthy, but what came out of our mouths. Isn't this exactly what is happening when one tears down their own spouse to their family or friends? Let me ask you this. If 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is truly being lived in the lives of Believers, why is the Christian divorce rate so high?

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.

THE BALANCING ACT...

The truth is when Ephesians 5:22-24 was spoken by Paul he didn't stop there. He went on to bring balance to what he was teaching. Let's look at Ephesians 5:25-27.

Ephesians 5:25-27

25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word, 27 That He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such things [that she might be holy and faultless].

So then wives subjecting themselves to their husbands is to be balanced with the husband loving his wife. In fact I would go as far as to say that most women would find joy in submitting to a husband who was kind and loving and most men would be more loving if they felt respected and honored in their homes. There is a breakdown somewhere and like every other relationship that we have (including our relationship with the Lord) marriage is something that we must work on daily. The breakdown is in both the husband and the wife. It's not all because she won't submit and it's not all because he doesn't speak lovingly. The truth is there are issues on both sides and to have a wonderfully restored marriage both the husband and wife must take heed to the Word as if each scripture was not only about the body of Christ, but particularly their own spouse.

NOTHING IS HIDDEN...

We truly deceive ourselves if we believe that God is pleased with our attitudes of lording over one another in our homes. Are we really so foolish as to believe that God rejoices when there is physical or verbal abuse in a marriage and one is deceptively using Ephesians 5:25-27 as their right to do so? What about women who lie as Potiphar's wife did or those who dominate and control like the wife of Ahab? And then there was Lot's wife who couldn't let go of her past and loved sin more than righteousness. We can see through out the Word of God how He felt toward those walking in this manner yet many continue in this manner because of deception.

What about the husbands who are unwilling to listen to their wives? They dominate and rule instead of understanding that their wife is filled with the Spirit as well. Even going back to Abraham & Sara we find God standing up for her as she tells Abraham to send Hagar and Ismael away. I don't even have to go into the scriptures that tell us that our bodies are not our own once we marry do I? Sadly I think 1 Corinthians 7:4-5 was cut out of many bibles years ago.

GETTING BACK TO BEING A WIFE OF NOBLE CHARACTER...

This article may seem harsh and difficult to read, but often times we really don't see the error of our ways or the deception that has clouded our eyes until God somehow begins to raise the veil that has fallen over our eyes. Dear ones, there is truly nothing that is hidden from Him. Oh sure, you might be able to hide things from your churchy friends and you may even be able to make a Pastor or Leader in the body of Christ think you have arrived somehow and have the greatest marriage on earth or that even though your marriage might be a mess, you are not the problem, but your spouse is. But remember one thing, the bible tells us that there is nothing hidden that shall not be revealed.

If your heart was ever to be a wife of noble character I encourage you to go through your bible and look up every scripture on marriage, what the wife's roll is and especially go through the book of Proverbs. Don't allow the enemy to keep you from children that rise up and call you blessed and a husband who praises you. Proverbs 31:31 gives us a piece of the puzzle I believe many are missing.

Proverbs 31:31

31 Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

So then we can see that if your hearts desire is to be praised at the city gate yourself, your first assignment is to love your husband so much that you make him known in the city gate even before you.

FINAL COMMENTS...

Walking as Jesus and Paul taught is a constant battle friends. I have fallen short far too many times and actually what it all boils down to is a few simple questions...

·

1) Can you be corrected?

·

2) Are you teachable?

·

2) Can your Spouse, Pastor/Leader or a brother or sister in Christ share something with you for your own good and help you to see areas that might need some adjustment?

·

My husband shared some things with me a few days ago and to be honest my initial carnal reaction was to argue, bring up his mistakes, faults and failures and then get him off my back. Ugh!!! Forgive me Lord. I'm sure you would never do something like this, but I admit that these were the first thoughts I had. However, God was able to speak to me and before I got even one word out of my mouth this time I heard him say; "Sheryl listen, you know that he is right." When I actually took the time to listen I heard what he was saying. Without all my ridiculous defenses being up I also heard what the Holy Spirit was saying to me.

This is not what Jerry said to me, but I will share with you what I heard from the Holy Spirit.

·

1) How much do you want to please your Father in Heaven?

·

2) How much do you want to resemble My Son?

·

3) How important to you are the feelings of others (do you prefer others or are you most important)?

·

4) How much do the gifts & blessings (spouse, children etc...) that I give you really mean to you?

·

5) Can you see that pride (having to be right at all cost) is not of Me, but a destructive lie of Satan?

·

6) Can you take up your cross and follow Jesus example of humility and put your complete trust in Me?

· 7) Will you allow Me to mold and make you into a vessel of honor?

·

8) Will you learn My ways and allow Me to be your defender?

THE KEY...

We must live the Word of God even behind closed doors. We must put a stop to making excuses for our attitudes and turning deaf ears to the Word of God where we would rather not grow or be challenged. We must remember that everything is naked and open before God and live every day unto Him. Our marriages will flourish, our children will rise and call us blessed, and we will be good examples for others in the body of Christ as well. Most of all dear ones, never give up because you can be a wife of noble character.

A Word for the new season thru: Marsha Burns

The season you are entering will be marked by greater intensity in the spirit realm.  You will have an awareness of the magnitude of the significance of what you do and the far-reaching consequences.  You can no longer live for yourselves.  Body awareness and corporate anointing will become the order of the day.

You will have supernatural courage and boldness in defeating the evil forces arrayed against you. You will go to war with joy and with a shout of victory on your lips!

Your changes will not necessarily be a radical departure from what you have known or experienced in the past, but there will be more of an elevation. Everything will be bigger, more extreme. It is going to be a ride, so hang on! You will seek and long for that which is familiar, but it will elude you as you will be forced to opt for the unknown. You will be forced to grow, but the excitement of new experiences will far outweigh the comfort of familiarity.

This “ride” will bring a quick healing of the wounds of the past as they no longer will hold your interest or be worthy of your attention. Now is the time you can move beyond the realm of victimization and once again taste the glory of divine purpose.

For Rip Van Winkle was old and gray, and twenty summers had passed away--Yes, twenty winters of snow and frost had he in his mountain slumber lost.

You will suddenly awaken from a time of slumber, in a different time and place, and be reminded of your quest. You will be amazed at the clarity with which you can see, know and understand your purpose and position in the kingdom. And, the things that have hindered you in the past, particularly self desires, will fade like a childhood dream.

There will be an urgency and fresh zeal in your heart to complete and fulfill your destiny.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and no of evil, to give you a future and a hope – is becoming a reality!

This will not come without a fight, but you will be willing to go to war with the attitude that your life (spiritual life) literally depends upon your courage, boldness and victory over the powers of darkness. And, victory is assured!

Listen To The Father's Heart

By: Beloved Servant
Apr 29 2006 06:09PM

The Lord is taking us on a journey of love from birth to eternity.
At birth the Lord God, gives us an earthly  Mother and Father, to learn paternal love,  some of us never come to know that love because of a loss of a parent or parents or the neglect by  parents that are really to young to start a family, often having one parent leaving the home.

Because we were born into sin  we  sometimes do not find the love through a parent, until we know the love of Father God.
Often the Father chooses a road that is paved with difficulties.  He knows our frame and what we need to come to that place where we welcome Him to be our Father, and embrace His love.

He actually gives us us so many chances to come to Him in our life, we get so many experiences, yet many of us go on our merry  way until we see that the love we seek is not fulfilling, there is a void, as I mentioned in Part 2, of Journey of Love.  We all have that need for love that nothing or no one person can fulfill only the Lord.

From Genesis to Revelations God is seeking our love, and the journey we are on, is to learn to love Him and our neighbor as we do ourself. The Lord is so merciful and full of loving kindness.  He hates evil and loves righteousness.

And for many of us, we have formed in our minds an angry wrathful God, that hates sin, and will come down on us if we are not obedient.  This is true for those who do evil,  but because we see him  like this, often it is very difficult to develop a relationship with Him because we see Him as a harsh figure rather than a loving Father.
Many of us either didn't have a Father  figure that loved and nutured us as we were growing up, so it became very difficult to see  Father God in this light.  And to truly know the fullness of His love.

It is very true that God is a God of righteousness and He hates evil.  He will bring judgement to those who have not turned from evil and turned to him, by repenting and turning their life over into the care and trust  of the Lord.  Not just as Savior, but as Lord.

When we actually search out the scriptures you will seen how much He loves us, that He is so merciful and kind, His mercy endures forever.  He see's Israel as His bride as well as the church, and through scripture, He shows us that.  We are in covenant relationship with Him He has given us His Spirit and He wants His bride to repent of adultery and from turning to other Gods and to turn back  to him because He is our  true faithful husband.  He will  never leave nor forsake us.
 Isaiah 54, Isaiah 61:10, 62:1-5, Jeremiah 2:2, 3:14, 31:32, Ezekiel 16, Hosea, Especially chaper 2., Mtthew 9: 14-17, 22:1-14, Matt 25:1-13, Mark 2:19-20, Luke 5:34-35, John 3:29, 2Cor 11:2, Eph 5:22, Rev 10:1-8, 21:1-6, 9, Revelations 22:17.
He really wants our love and faithfulness, He wants a relationship with us.  He knows our frame that we are are yet flesh,
though we are to live in the spirit, the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh. So when we fail in this, He is ever faithful to forgive us and forgive our sins.  He hasn't given up on us because He knows our hearts.  Of course if our hearts condemn us we are in trouble.

So through out life we are to learn  how to love God and our neighbor we are given so many opportunities to learn, but usually we do not until we come to know real love from the Lord of glory.
Then when we invite the Lord to live in us, and through us, we begin the journey into the kingdom of God, it is not a physical kingdom but one of the spirit, of love peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

I believe that many are  not ready for the bridegroom, we cannot see ourself as a bride until we have graduated to that place of knowing Him, and loving the Lord with all our hearts mind soul and strength, and loving our neighbor as ourself.  This is what brings about the fullness, because it is obeying the Lord, He and the Father have promised to come and live in us, when we obey Him, we canot produce fruit unless we are abiding in the vine.  There are many stages in our journey of loved, we sometimes look at other Christians that are not so far a long and we want to condemn them, but I see now that they are not yet as far along, and we need to pray for them. We go from babes through all stages of growth in Christ, and then on to full grown bride.  He will come for a bride without spot or wrinkles, the problem is we must mature quickly for the Day is near at hand.

So for those who are not yet walking in obedience to His command of love and are still sin, to see the Lord as just loving will keep them in bondage to sin, because the Lord will forgive if there is repentance, but to go on in sin shows us that the Lord is is not truly living in us.  Because when he is fully in us we do not walk in sin because we have surrendered all rights to ourself, and we cannot do as we choose but we do what pleases the Father.  We have surrendered all of our rights to ourself.   "If a man love Me, He shall keep My words, and My Father will love Him, and we will come unto Him and make OUR abode with Him". John 14:23.  If you love Me keep My commandments. John 14:15.
So let us move on to maturity or perfectness and on to learning how to love God and others, let us put our selfish desires aside and begin to listen to the heart of God, praying and sincerely asking Him, what is on Your heart Father?.  Listen and he will speak to you, what he desires of you.  You can hear God's  heart all the way through the scriptures.  His heart is for souls and for the poor and needy.

There are many scriptures that speak here  of His heart, read these and you will hear the heart beat of the Father.  When we know the Lord's heart we are graduating to the next level, we can only know this by close union and communion with Him, and  knowing that when we do what pleases Him in these matters we graduate to another level of love and on to His fullness, His perfectness.  This brings us full circle on our journey of love. If a man loves me, he shall keep My commandments and My Father will love Him and we will come and make our abode with Him.  This is to receive the fullness, we will be fully walking in the kingdom of God, He will work through us, healing, delivering, raising the dead.  He will do great exploits in us, and as we yield our life to Him we will see God move powerfully in and through us.

These scriptures only cover helping the Poor, we  yet have to bring the message of salvation to the Lost.  This too shows our love for Him, the good news preached to the poor, and all that do not know Him.

Return To Your Fortress Oh Prisoners Of Hope! by: Mary Lindow

THERE ARE TIMES WHEN, TO LEAD US INTO A STRONGER AUTHORITY AND GREATER BLESSINGS, GOD MUST LITERALLY, "SET US FREE" FROM THE STORAGE SHED OF OUR PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES!

"As for you, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I will free your
prisoners (disappointments of the soul) from the waterless pit.
(The place of severe dryness)
" Return to your fortress, oh prisoners of hope!
Even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you."
Zechariah 9:11 -12

AS WE SEE THE PRESSURES AND THE WARFARE OF THIS AGE CONTINUE TO
ESCALATE, WE WILL SOON DISCOVER THAT YESTERDAY'S ANOINTING
WON'T WORK FOR THE BATTLES WE FACE TODAY!

The Lord is in every real sense of the word "demanding" us to look at our
lives! Many have become entrapped by the "old" and ingrained structures
that at one time were at one time the "current" wave of how God does
things in His kingdom!

HOWEVER! GOD IS. PROGRESSIVE!

He always moves ahead with His vision and His plan for the bride and
never returns to a place we often call "Plan B."

MANY AT THIS TIME HAVE BEEN HANDED A NEW TYPE OF TOOL WITH A
"WILD" INSTRUCTION BOOKLET THAT SEEMS TERRIBLY DIFFICULT AND
WILL TAKE TREMENDOUS PATIENCE TO BUILD WITH.

If this "tool" is adjusted to, and is accepted as the "power tool" of the new
spiritual century, it can do twice the amount of building with about half of
the effort the old one took.

The problem is, many feel secure in the way they did things in the past
with the old tool saying, "After all! It got us where we are today!"

If we remain in that slower, self-focused and "one man/one woman"
show, we will sadly find that the strength we had to wield that tool has
left, and we are not able to muster up enough energy to use it anymore!

FOR ALL OF OUR VISIONS AND PLANS AND PROGRAMS, GOD'S WILL
CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT HIS STRENGTH!

We need the strength that comes only from Him to use the new and
updated version of the "power tools" that He has placed into our hand.

THE LORD IS REALLY ASKING US ONE THING AT THIS TIME.
"How did your service and ministry to Me get so dry and "waterless? How
did you get into that pit in the first place?"

IF WE ARE TO BE HONEST...
(Hint: it's highly recommended at this time)
We got use to doing things that seemed to be systematic and that got
the church onto a conveyor belt and kept things trotting merrily along!

Ahhhh! The convenience of "automation!"
And so...spiritually, we can get into automated Christianity and never st op
the machine and LISTEN TO THE QUIET!

WE MUST GET BACK UP TO THE PLACE OF REFUGE IN THE STRONG TOWER
OF GOD'S PRESENCE AND STAY THERE!

The Father is beginning to impart updated versions of His strategic plans
for the Kingdom's "final push!

Yes! It can be very scary and risky!
You will face opposition, resistance, and persecution! Especially from
those who refuse to give up their places of "guaranteed benefits" for
working the assembly line ever so faithfully with the idea that if they do
so, they deserve a more
noted position for influence!

GOD IS SHAKING EVERYTHING UP!

HE IS POSITIONING THOSE WHO ARE WILLING TO ALLOW HIM TO REVEAL
HIMSELF IN GREATER LEVELS OF AUTHORITY AND POWER!

SO!

HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU ARE AN ANOINTED VESSEL FOR THE
ASSIGNMENTS GOD IS BEGINNING TO HAND OUT?

Have you been in a season of "desolation?" A place that s eemed at times
ba rren and forbidding? No one else could answer your questions let
alone, the ache in your heart?

Both Moses and Elijah had to go to the literal mountain of desolation!
Mt. Horeb. That is what the word means!

God reduced his servants to have only one place or thought or focus of
intense burning! Desolation can do that to you! No one else around to:
Talk to,
Wait on you,
Or - strategize with you!

WE HAVE BEEN TAUGHT THAT THE MOUNTAIN OF THE LORD IS WHERE
ALL OF THE "YAHOOS" AND "YIPPIES" HAPPEN!
WHEN WE GET THERE...WE HAVE ARRIVED!

WELL?

THE MOUNTAIN OF DESOLATION, MT. HOREB
WAS A PLACE OF DESPERATION.

It was here that Moses crawled up into the cleft of a rock, probably wiped
out and depressed, struggling with how to get the people to obey the
Lord's commands, and he just collapsed! He wept and cried out in
desperation to God saying,

" IF I HAVE DONE ANYTHI NG THAT YOU SEE AS FAV ORABLE OR OF USE TO
YOU OH GOD, LET ME KNOW MORE OF THE WAY YOU DO THINGS!
SHOW ME! HELP ME! VISIT ME SO I MIGHT KNOW YOU! (EXODUS 33:13)

THE WORK OF GOD CALLED DESOLATION MEANS: GOD ALONE.

Francis Frangipane says, "when God's presence accompanies our actions,
all the energy we once spent worrying and planning is reclaimed and
offered back to God in praise and effective service!"

THE FATHER IS SETTING US FREE FROM OLD RUTS!

Our time of desolation, brokenness, and disappointment, becomes a
power tool in His hand where He works within us a deeper dependency
upon His strength! The new things we are learning to do with the much
more efficient tools of the kingdom will only function efficiently if He is
the power source we draw from.

I CLOSE WITH THIS PROPHETIC WORD FROM THE FATHER:

"MUCH OF YOUR DISAPPOINTMENT AND DISCOURAGEMENT HAS COME
FROM FALSE EXPECTATIONS YOU HAVE PLACED UPON YOURSELF AND
OTHERS ! YOU HAVE BEEN SHOULDERING BURDENS OR "SHOVING THEM
ON TO OTHERS" WHO WERE NEVER EQUIPPED TO HANDLE THEM.
IT HAS DRAINED YOUR JOY, AND ABILITY TO FOCUS CLEARLY."

GET INTO THE STRONG "HOLD" OF THE FATHER.

His embrace is amazing and cleansing!
He sees your hope oh prisoner!
He knows of your heartache and fear of being shamed!

THIS DAY!
HEAR THAT! THIS DAY!
HE IS DECLARING:
"I WILL RESTORE DOUBLE TO YOU!"

"No more pit without water to wallow in!
No more manacles of self-doubt and past rigid thinking!"
No! Instead there will be a place of freshness, inclusiveness, and great
power to do damage to those who have oppressed you with evil
intentions!"

GET SHELTERED AND ALONE. WITH GOD.

He has been speaking!
Put away the old tools you have been trying to "build with" and draw on
the strength of His presence to find the place of authority and release!

"The Lord wi ll protect you from all evil! He will keep your soul!
The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time
forth and forever!"
(Psalm 121:7-8)

Being Prepared/My Sanctuary by: Beloved Shoshanna

I have been hearing a lot of prophecies from others regarding the times we are living in. Our world is in a wretched state and it is obvious theat the Lord has been bringing judgment to our world through natural calamities, and He has always done that. He brought plagues, famine and the sword in the past to nations that had turned their backs on God and refused to repent of their gross sins.

Many of the judgements that the Lord proclaimed against Israel have already occurred, and undoubtedly these judgments don't just apply to Israel but to the world as well.

I have not heard anything from the Lord regarding a specific time when these judgments will occur,  disasters will continue in the world, and increase as time moves ahead. With famine and plagues coming, and this is what the word says will occur before the Day of the Lord.

But what I do hear from the Lord quite often is to be prepared, mentally, physically and spiritually. To be awake spiritually. And to spend more time in the secret place. This is preparation for the time coming, no matter what evil surrounds us. Psalm 91 explains it quite well.

I believe with all my heart that my husband and I have been called to be Watchmen on the Walls, and I believe the messages the Lord has given us thus far bear that out.  Sometimes the Lord gives me a message more as a teaching message other times, in the third person.  I have been verbally chastised for speaking in the third person,  telling me that God doesn't speak throuh people like that now, since john the Baptist, so unless the Lord wants me to give a word  in the third person  I don't.  Rather than cause others to not receive the word.   But there are times I believe that He wants the message given that way, so that it speaks to individual hearts that He has preordained to hear Him.

Our ministry is to the body of Christ, rather than just to the remnant, the reason being is that the remnant are already in that place of being prepared, and many have already gone through the wilderness and time of testing.
The Lord has called us to prepare those who have not awakened, those lured asleep by the church system, the prosperity movement, the cheap grace, and the sloppy agape.  Which though there is an element of truth to it, the whole scope of truth is not
shown.  And so what we have is a lot of spiritual babes in many churches.  They have not been taught to study the word for themself, and their life bears it out.  And he has called us to tell them to AWAKE for the time is drawing near.  It is very late, do not be like the foolish virgins who did not have enough oil intheir lampos.  Which signifies the Holy Spirit, the life sap drawn from the vine.

2Ch 7:14 if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We want to see revival happen as much as the next guy.
God has repented of a  judgement, when the people pray and seek His face, turning from their sins.  Looking at the scriptures we see that this is the Lord's heart, so we have to get on our face and pray.  Better to be prepared like the ant, rather than be like the sluggard.
YOUR VERY LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT.

If a person will study the word diligently to show him or herself approved, a watchman  needing not to be ashamed, he will see much of the deception for what it is.  The word hasn't changed the word is spoken by God Himself to  us, and so our obedience is a direct obedience to Him, and if we disobey, we are disobeying  Him to His face.  Nothing gets past Him.

But even more than studying the word, to be prepared for whatever comes in the way of judgement, we must be in that secret place with Him.  I don't mean a few quick moments each day, but to put everything aside to be alone with Him first thing every day, and in the evening.  To pray unceasingly and fast.  How much we do that every day is an indication of how prepared we truly are.
I will get into this in a future message, but I would like to share a message that the Lord gave me March 3, 2005.

I was studying 2 Chronicles 20:9-12 and the Lord began to show me the Sanctuary, His Sanctuary, which is the secret place that is talked about in Psalm 91 and how we are to run to that place when any evil comes.

My Sanctuary

Beloved,
When evil comes upon you, whether sword or judgement, persecution or famine enter into My sanctuary and cry unto Me in your affliction and I will hear and help you.

I am right here within, you ARE My sanctuary, my house made without hands, this is where I live, not some distant realm far away in the heavens. If I seem distant it is because you have moved away from Me, and when you move away from Me, you are not receiving My divine life within you, which is the divine connection we have when you are abiding within, when you are not abiding within, you are no longer connected and you are walking in the flesh.

When you are connected to me, you can do greater things than I have done. As you become more and more aware of My Presence, as you enter into the sanctuary, you can then go behind the veil into the holy of holies. There you will find all that you are seeking.

As you abide in My sanctuary, do not take your eyes off of Me, to do so breaks the connection for I am all you shall ever need, I am your life, My resurrection life that continually flows into you as you continually abide in Me, we are connected and the life flows through you and in you. I am your protector and your salvation so call upon Me in your time of need.

Make praise your life, it flows out from you when we are divinely connected and the enemy is dispersed and I rejoice, make Me the object of your worship. Praise Me in all of your circumstances. There is power in praise, mountains will crumble and the enemy shall fall. Go into battle with praise as your weapon, with the full armor on. Nothing shall defeat you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.

Enter in Beloved, enter into My sanctuary, I am there waiting for you as you busy yourself with so many things, but one thing is needful and that is to stop and enter in with a song on your heart and worship on your lips, and I shall make your paths straight smooth.

Many trials come when you break the connection and go out on your own, you take your eyes off me, and put them on your circumstances and then your problems are magnified in your eyes and you begin to fear, and to not trust Me.

I say child stay within and move through your circumstances effortlessly.

The time is coming when I shall separate the sheep from the goats that have mixed with my flock. My sheep hear My voice and another shall they not follow. But the goats shall not hear and shall follow the way of the wolf

They shall be scattered to the left and to the right and the wolf shall devour them.

You hear My voice in the midst of the sanctuary, and there you shall find My rest, My peace in your time of need. The battle is not yours but is mine saith the Lord. I will do battle for you and through you.

Seek out My sanctuary, let it be your sanctuary a place where you receive My life, and My help.

One thing that has been deeply disturbing to me, is to see how those who call themselves Christians live, before the world.  it has greatly grieved me. Christians I work with curse, tell dirty jokes, wear crystals, gamble and who knows what else.  But the Lord showed me that many of these are the tares that the enemy has planted with the Wheat, the true Saints of God.  Though our Lord Yeshua is very forgiving when we come to Him and confess our sins, yet if we are to be able to handle all that is coming our way, we must repent of our sins, and move on with God.  Sin has no place in a true Christian.  If we want to follow Jesus, Yeshua, he will wash us with His blood, and bring you into the kingdom.  He loves each one of us so deeply, we don't want to be taken out as a tare.  Which is what will happen if we do not repent.
There are those who have a real spiritual struggle, and Yeshua knows this, and He has made a way for you to be healed, He hurts with you.  Get on your knee's and cry out to God continually to be delivered.  He will do just that, but He needs to see you truly want to be free, of those things.

Separating The Wheat From The Tares
Beloved Shoshanna
May 15 2004 12:00AM

There are things I want You to SEE, and HEAR, about the end times and My kingdom. The time of the harvest is drawing near. My Son has planted many into My kingdom and while men slept the enemy has come and planted tares, (the children of the evil one), among My good seed (My chosen ones) and you cannot tell one from another upon seeing with the naked eyes. They look like My children, they talk like My children, but they are false, they are not Mine. They do not hear My voice, nor do they do My word, they live according to the thoughts of their evil hearts, because they listen to the evil one for they are his children.
Many make merchandise of My kingdom, deceiving and being deceived, they go the way of Balaam.

This age is coming to a close, and the tares will be plucked out first separated from My chosen ones, for many are called but few are chosen. My reapers the angels will come and remove the tares, they will be gathered bundled and burned. All that offends and works iniquity shall be cast into a furnace of fire, there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine like the stars of the firmaments and shall turn many to righteousness. He that has ears to hear, let him hear.

I see your heart My child, that you hunger and thirst for Me and My word and long for the My kingdom to come on earth as it is in heaven. All around you are tares, you must not take on their ways, but must be broken and contrite before me, trusting Me to walk you through this grievous event. And though the tares appear to be one of Mine, they have been put there by the enemy, so you must learn discernment, for though you grow side by side, you must be separate, consecrated unto Me. Reach out to them with My love, that they may turn and repent and turn from their wicked ways, but be ye separate. 2 Cor. 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Cor. 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 2 Cor. 6:17-18
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

The enemy has secretly placed the tares among you so that you would take on his ways rather than follow and take on My ways of righteousness, he is the great deceiver of all those who follow after MEN, only after ME shall they not be deceived. He that has an ear to hear, let him hear. Ask Me for the spirit of wisdom and understanding, and above all for decernment, hearing and discerning, seeing and perceiving are vital this hour as you enter these dangerous days ahead, for they will be filled with confusion and peril.
Keep your ears and eyes open, listen for what I have to say, look to Me only, perceive the spiritual not the natural. 1 Cor. 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2:15
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. As you abide in me, you will be more able to discern the spiritual, for I am training you to excercise the things of the Spirit, that hearing you will hear and seeing you will see. So that you will not turn to the right or to the left but will keep your eyes and ears upon Me. Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. He that has an ear to hear let him here.

Judge yourselves, so I won't judge you for judgment shall begin at the house of the Lord, ask Me for the burning of all that is in you heart that offends. Shine My children, let Me shine My Light and love through you, for you shall be lights upon a hill for all to see My glory. Matthew 5:14-17
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. [15] Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. [16] Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Rev. 21:22-27
And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. [23] And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. [24] And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [25] And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. [26] And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. [27] And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

What It Takes by: Susan Vannice

What It Takes

I am woman committed to doing whatever it takes
I am full of the Holy Spirit and His Power
The plan for my future has been established in eternity
My past has been paid for, my present is productive and
My dreams will be a reality

I have stepped out of my comfort zone and over the line
With a made up mind I will follow Jesus Christ
Who is the Author and Finisher of my faith
I won't look back, let up, back down or slow down
My goals are high and my face is set like a flint
The Kairos is now, no longer will I accept the lies of the enemy
I am finished with low living, sight walking, small planning
Smooth knees, colorless dreams, blurred vision, nowhere going, death talking
Chintzy giving, plan "B" living, self-destructing, and destiny doubting

I no longer crave preeminence, position, promotion, or popularity
I don't have to be right, first, or on top
I have no need to be recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded
I am a woman who is committed to doing whatever it takes

I will humbly dwell in the secret place of the Most High
My life is in Him and in Him I will live and move and have my being
No longer will I look to any man, woman or child to fulfill my hopes, dreams
Desires, expectations, needs, or emotional longings
I know that only Yaweh the Most High God can meet every
need, desire, longing
Expectation, hope and dream I have ever or will ever have
From now on I'm meeting destiny head on
I am chasing it down and apprehending it
I am taking authority over my thoughts, my actions, my habits, my character
And therefore my destiny
I am a woman who is committed to doing whatever it takes

Listen up devil, I am serving notice on Hell to get ready for war
By the Holy Spirit Power that is inside of me and
With The Authority of my Deliverer
I declare and decree that what you have destroyed
Will be restored, and what you have killed will come back to life
What you have stolen must be returned seven fold
Devil you better back up, shut up and pay up--there is no place for you to hide
I won't change my mind, forget about it, run away, or give up
I will not be discouraged and no longer will I believe your lies
I know that the Lord God Most High is on my side
You lose and I win because I'm a woman full of the Holy Ghost and Power
And I 'm committed to doing whatever it takes

IF I HAVE NOT LOVE, I AM NOTHING by: Shoshanna

Recently,  I went through a trial,  though it was very painful because it was from the accuser of the brethren, the Lord so graciously loved me through it.
I went through all kinds of accusations that were totally untrue, and though I was told I had done something wrong, others told me I had not, though I confessed and apologized for what if I was told was wrong, it was not accepted.
But whether it was wrong or  not, I confessed my error and asked for forgivenss, to as many as I could, so that their would not be a breach in my relationship with the Lord.  In the process of being broken, the Lord showed me something from His Heart.

The Lord Yeshua (Jesus) is very merciful and gracious.  Forgiving all of our sins when we confess them, and cleanses us from all iniquity.

He is not harsh hard or unloving in anyway.   He doesn't accuse and Yes, the Holy Spirit will gently show us our sins, and if we continue not to  listen we may face chastisement that will not be so nice, but as we open up our heart He shows us His way of doing things.  When we reco gnize we are not  lining up with His Spirit which is love, we need to turn and repent.  Get on our face in brokeness.
The Lord has been reminding me, about brokeness and  how important it is to remain broken.   Brokeness, is what keeps the spirit of pride out of us, which  is the opposite of love, and from the evil one.

There are many who call themselves prophets or prophetesses of God, who use the word of God or a message that is said to be from God as a weapon against Christians, forgetting that Jesus came to teach us His way, and that is the way of love.
This is a reminder to me as well, as it is easy to be caught up in a word, and fail in the delivery.
As I was talking to the Lord about all this and just listening, he brought so much peace and love to my heart.
He showed me that this is only achieved by KNOWING HIS HEART.

There is so much lack of unity in the body of Christ.  The Lord prayed we would be made ONE, yet so many Christians are building there own  empire at the expense of their brothers and sisters, often just trying to be known, and have the largest following.  And instead of being one with the body, they separate with their desire to be at the top.  What the Lord is showing is that we are "NOTHING" without LOVE.  How can we be ONE when there those who want to climb the ladder of sucess,  much like those that built the tower of babel, w ho wanted to ascend like gods by any means possible.  The glory does not belong to us, it belongs to God, and as in the tower of Bable, the Lord will not give His glory to another.

The Lord took me to 1 Corinthians 13.

1Co 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.

1Co 13:2

And if I have the gift of
prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

1Co 13:3

And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.

You see, you might have gifts of prophecy, or gifts of tongues, or gifts of helps or giving, faith, all knowledge and revelation of all the mysteries, BUT WITHOUT LOVE YOU ARE NOTHING

1Co 13:4

Love suffer eth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Pride is the exact opposite of love, which is what God is, Yeshua, the Holy Spirit, Ruach Ha Kodsesh are humble, and they are LOVE.

If the Spirit of love lives in us, then we live in love.  That is the word of God.  If we are not walking in love, we do not know God, or Yeshua, in fact we have no light in us.  1John 2: 3-6,9

Love actually puts the other person before ourself.

1Co 13:5 doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;   Love does  not seek its own glory, nor does it, step on his brothers and sisters to get to the top, or seek its own selfish desires.  Love is not easily provoked, and takes no account of evil, doesn't keep count of wrong doing.

1Co 13:6

rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;   Love does not look for a fault or sin in another, so they can point fingers and rejoice because they think they have caught you doing something so they can make themself look good.  We are to overlook others faults and look at our own, because our heart can deceive us when we cannot see clearly for the log we have in our own eye.  Love is not self righteous.

1Co 13:7

beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Love always looks for the best in another brother or sister, doesn't look for wrong and believes the best of him or her, bears up in trials, endures to the end in love.

1Co 13:8

Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall be done away; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall be done away.

All these things will p ass away, and we will have nothing to make us look good, no gifts, no anointing, absolutely NOTHING, except whether we have been perfected in LOVE.

1Co 13:9

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part;

1Co 13:10

but when that which is perfect is come, that which is in part shall be done away.

You see the gifts are temporary, they will be done away with, but what will stand is LOVE, and that is a sure indication that we KNOW THE LORD, that we are truly His.

1Co 13:11

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child: now that I am become a m an, I have put away childish things.

1Co 13:12

For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know fully even as also I was fully known.   When we seethe Lord's face we will see in a mirror, and it will reflect him, LOVE or it will reflect ourself.

1Co 13:13

But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Let us look forward to that day, this is very important, because nothing is as important as LOVE.

EVERY sin we can commit is a sin against LOVE, and these are the two commandments that Yeshua gave us, and all the law and prophets hang on these two.

LOVE THE LORD GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART MIND AND STRENGTH, AND TO LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.

1Jo 3:24

And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he gave us.

1Jo 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God.

1Jo 4:8

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

We do not KNOW HIM, if we are not abiding in love.  All we do for the Lord is nothing if we are not doing it in love toward Him and our brethren.

Brethren,  our whole walk as believers here on the earth is to have His love perfected in us.  That is the fullness, of HIM, in and through us.  Learning how to love as he loved.  All the commandments in the old testament all boil down to whether we are living in LOVE.  You see every sin we commit is an act of selfishness, it could be against our neighbor, a loved one, even a stranger, or God, because ultimately who we sin against in some way is hurt by it.  Whether it is our Mother or Father, husband or wife, a sister or brother, a co-worker, someone elses spouse, all our our neigbor.  It could be a sin against the Lord's body.  it isn't our body any longer when we have received the Lord into our life.  He bought and paid for us by His blood.

And to sin against God, by not truly loving Him, by not keeping His commanments of love, not KNOWING HIM, not being intimate with him, so we can be  one with Him, these are all sins against love, against God.  it shows our lack of love for Him.

How often do we lash out at someone with our words, in anger, or judgement.  How often do we separate our oneness with strife, and bitterness?  These are all sins against love, and they are selfishness, and more than anything are sins against our Creator, our Lord, and Savior, who came to live in us.  How can we sin, when the Holy Spirit of love lives in us?

How can we not forgive, when we were forgiven by the Lord for all of our sins?

We cannot minister to people unless we know the Lord' heart.  His true heart.  God is love, and though He is a God of judgment, and He hates sin, he is also merciful and forgiving, when we sincerely come to Him and repent.

The one thing we must understand, is that people often confuse His love and mercy to be so long suffering that He will not bring judgement and will not chastise, and so they do not repent of their sins.  This is very dangerous, to test the love and mercy of God.

It is the heart the Lord is after, he wants our hearts to be as His heart, one with Him and one with each other.  He isn't a vengeful God that can't wait to come down on us.  He wants us to be free of sin.

The most amazing thing about God, is that when we learn to really love him, I mean really love Him, just as Mary Magdalane did, after He forgave her many sins, we will not ever want to sin against Him.  How could we want to sin against LOVE, the love that died on the cross for us, shed His very blood, that our sins could be forgiven.

So He wants to teach us how to love, how to love Him, and how to love our brothers and sisters, and when we learn that, we will be without sin, and we will be perfected in love.

IF I HAVE NOT LOVE, I AM NOTHING.

A "Secret Place of Encounter" by: Mary Lindow

The question we must ask our heart in this season of preparation and training is:

IS GOD GETTING TOO CLOSE TO THE REAL ME?"

We are strange and exquisite creatures. We can ache for God tremendously yet find ourselves getting nervous if God gets too close!

After all, the closer God gets, the more we hear the call to be "unpolluted". It is both exciting and frightening to hear that call!

A STORY Once upon a time there was a little plant that was small and whose growth was stunted, for it lived under the shade of a giant oak tree.

The little plant valued the shade that covered it and highly enjoyed and lavished the quiet rest that it's majestic friend provided. Yet there was a greater blessing prepared for this little plant.

One day a lumberjack entered the forest with a sharp ax and cut down the giant oak! The little plant began to weep, crying out, "My shelter has been taken away". Now every fierce wind will blow on me, and every storm will seek to uproot me!"

The guardian angel of the little plant responded, NO! Now the sun will shine and showers will fall on you more abundantly than ever before! Now your stunted form will spring up into loveliness, and your flowers, which could never have grown to full perfection in the shade, will laugh in the sunshine. Many will say, look haw that plant has grown. How gloriously beautiful it has become by removing that which was it's shade and comfort!

We need to see that the Lord always trains his soldiers not by calling them to difficult travels and service. He marches them through wilderness and mountains. God knows that soldiers can only be developed in battle and are not developed in times of peace.

WE CAN ONLY BECOME TRUE SEASONED SOLDIERS OF CHRIST WHEN WE TRAIN AND SERVE IN THE PREPARATION TIME OF THE WILDERNESS.

TRUST FOR A SEASON!

It's all about trusting God in the end. Oh yes it is! Will He REALLY refresh us in this time of struggle? His Loving Word says so.

For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes." Jer. 31:25 5.

THE LORD IS PRODUCING ENDURANCE WHETHER WE LIKE IT OR NOT!

Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

THE FATHER IS URGING US TO RUN TO HIM, TO CRY TO HIM! He is there! Even in this fog of struggle, loss, anxiety or seeming success! He wants us to be desperate for Him and rely on His voice. To make our decisions based on His plan for the whole earth!

TIE YOURSELF TO T HE HAND OF GOD! Get a "rope of hope"(the word of God) and tie yourself to it. Hold on! The night is nearly over!

"For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes." Jeremiah 31:25

It would be a powerful opportunity for all of us to get on our knees in a "secret place of encounter," with the Lord, and refresh our commitment to purity, and with a willing heart to surrender to the will of the Father.

LET OUR HEARTS WILLINGLY ... ...PREPARE HIM ROOM.

We do this by clearing away or removing anything that feeds and pampers our flesh and our own concepts of the Kingdom. We prepare HIM a place, a throne in our hearts from which He can reign and activate His anointing.

Heart to Heart by: Susan L. Friesen

I’m a homeschooling mom of three daughters—Lindsea, 8; Alaina, 10; and Shivan, 11. To see the girls in a homeschool gathering, you’d never guess that two of the girls have special needs. You’d probably have a difficult time guessing which of the three had a life-saving heart transplant, unless they wore a bathing suit or scoop-neck t-shirt, then notice the “zipper” scar running down their chests.

Strangely, on even the same day of the year--the first Friday of October--three years apart, in 2001 and 2003, Shivan and Lindsea fell deathly ill. Before that time, other than typical childhood maladies, neither daughter experienced a medical problem.

An Air Force pediatrician diagnosed Shivan with walking pneumonia and sent her home. She wasn’t home long, though, before the doctor called, concerned. An x-ray showed an extremely enlarged heart; she’d need to be seen by a cardiologist.

My husband took off work and we drove to Santa Barbara and met Dr. Bilal Harake. After Shivan had an echocardiogram—which displays a detailed picture of heart function, the doctor said, “… Her heart is operating at only 7% of normal… She’ll need a heart transplant.” You can imagine the agony of spirit my husband and I faced at that moment hearing that news.  Our “ordinary” lives became extraordinary at that point.

Airlifted to UCLA Medical Center, Shivan was diagnosed with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy. In layman’s language, this means a severely enlarged heart. Idiopathic translates unknown cause of disease. To this day, doctors can’t say for sure what precipitated our daughters’ illness, but they believe it was viral-based; and most likely, is genetic or congenital.

Shivan waited about three months outside the hospital for her new heart. She received it January 29, 2001 from a teenager, Shane Rooney, from my hometown of Huntington Beach, California. Shane worked on a neighbor’s scooter when, suddenly, a mother, driving drunk in the middle of the day, hit him. Shane was kept on life support. When doctors determined he was brain dead, his parents agreed to donate his organs. Their unselfish decision made it possible for our daughter to live.

I met our organ donor’s family by finally contacting a news reporter with The Orange County Register, who arranged for us to meet the family the day before Mother’s Day, 2003. The story made front-page news. We are still in contact with the Rooney family, our heroes.

Mysteriously, three years after Shivan’s illness, Lindsea exhibited flu-like symptoms similar to Shivan’s. My husband and I knew right away it was déjà vu all over again. I needed to convince the military doctor to check her heart. He thought she exhibited abdominal problems and sent her to the emergency room. Once there, my husband insisted it was the same situation as Shivan’s. Sure enough, a chest x-ray confirmed the severely enlarged heart. An ambulance sped Lindsea to UCLA pediatric ICU, where she waited 49 days for her organ transplant. Unlike Shivan, she couldn’t wait outside the hospital, as she had a blood clot attached to her left ventricle, which, if loosened, would cause a fatal embolism.

The girls are doing well today—two and five years post-transplant. Because they take many medications to prevent organ failure, their immune systems are weak. We have a computer network in the home and each girl works on Internet-based lessons. They also love reading, recently finishing the Harry Potter series and C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia. We like to take nature walks, visit museums and cultural centers. Yesterday, for example, we bird-watched at the Oso Flaco lagoon in Guadalupe, California.

Lindsea and Shivan participated in The World Transplant Games in London, Ontario, Canada last summer, one of only three children from California, to participate. They’re readying to compete in the U.S. Transplant Games in Louisville, Kentucky this year. In Fall 2007, they’re excited about joining Team USA again, traveling to Bankgkok, Thailand for the 16th World Transplant Games.

Broken and Laid Down by: Shoshanna

Sometimes the Lord will give me a message just as I am getting ready to go to sleep, out of the blue He begins to tell me something.
It was late so I didn't write it down, I suppose that it was His answer after my spending time with Him.  I get up at 5 in the morning to go to work, so I wrote down some notes of what He gave me.   A broken and laid down life.

Isa 57:15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.

We cannot abide in the  the heights with the Lord, if we are not broken and humble.  The Lord desires no other sacrifice from us than a broken and contrite spirit.

We must come to Him broken and see ourself as needy, poor, sinful, we must come to Him as beggers so dependent on Him for bread and water, that we come to Him hungry and thirsty, knowing He is the only one that can satiate our hunger and thirst.

You cannot dwell with Him in the heavenlies until you lay down and die, to be broken and every vestige of self lays down broken.

Come to him wanting Him to take out all of the flesh, all of self, leaving a broken vessel, laid down and broken. As we come to Him as a broken vessel, He will pick up the broken pieces and put them all together one by one, and breathe the life of the Holy Spirit into us, His life for our life.  You see He has to lay us down before He can raise us up.

Our self life is a hinderance to God's life in us, in order for the self to die, to lay down and die, we must be broken over our sinfulness, to hate the sins that so easily beset us.  yes, sin comes easy until we have devoured the flesh of the Son of God, and drink His blood.  What is His flesh?  It is His word, the flesh profits nothing it is the Spirit that gives life, and His words are Spirit and life.

To drink His blood is to understand and receive the sacrifice that He made for us, His body broken for our sins as He hung on that cross, drops of blood that He shed for our sins fell to the ground.  Just as our sins fell to the ground with every drop of blood,  knowing His brokeness, and humility when He went to the cross.

Though our sins, that we have commited are washed clean by His blood, we must remember that we are not worthy of the holiness of God, we are impure in our thoughts and words, and some in their bodies.  God does not ask for sacrifices from us,  the sacrifices of God are a broken and a contrite spirit.

Oh, we must come before the Lord asking Him for forgiveness, and live a broken humble life before Him.  As oppose to the pride that is so prevalent in the church and in the world today.  Pride is an abomination to God.

The world has the antichrist spirit, we even see it in the church, the pride that comes from the antichrist, who exalts himself above all that is called God, as well as what follows; who boasts of antiquity, and insolently takes to himself the title of Holiness.

Do you see why we must come before the Lord broken?  Pride is such a snare such a deception, that it is difficult to see ourself as prideful.  it is like those being deceived do not know they are deceived, they do not know they are full of pride, puffed up by their knowledge, or attainment or a title they or others have imposed upon themself.

You see God cannot use us full of pride, it only serves to fill us with even more pride, and unless we are broken an humble we cannot know God's heart for the broken and the lost, we cannot serve God as he wants us to serve Him.  We cannot come but with a broken and contrite heart, then He can do Holy Spirit surgery, give us a heart transplant,  take out all the flesh, take out all that is not of Him, and remake us into his image,  then we can see with His eyes, and feel with his heart for the broken.

When the Lord appeared to his disciples when they had been fishing and He was on the beach, He asked Peter threee times if he loved Him, and three times Peter answered, "Yes Lord, You know I love You", and Jesus said, "Feed My lambs."

Joh 21:18

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.

Joh 21:19

Now this he spake, signifying by what manner of death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.

Three times Peter had denied the Lord before the cock crowed, because he knew that his heart was not  prepared to suffer he wasn't prepared to die for Him, or for His brethren.   He did not follow Him, he did not follow Him in His footsteps, he was worried about his own life.

Mat 26:75 And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Peter felt the bitterness of knowing he had sinned against the Lord.  The sin of not loving Him enough, ashamed to be called one of His followers.  I believe that it was to be Peter that was to build the church, and yet it was Paul that actually was the one to build the church.  Was it this sin of abandonment that made our Lord not sure of  His love and whether He would go on to feed His sheep?  The Lord knows everything in our hearts.

Jesus said, that satan wanted to sift him as wheat, but He prayed that his faith would not fail, and when he was converted to strengthen his brethren.  Peter was so broken over his denial of the Lord, he would not be hung right side up, because he felt he was not worthy to die as the Lord died, so he asked to be hung upside down.

Let us come before Him, and lay down self, lay down everything that exalts itself above God or above others with our pride and selfishness, our lack of faith that Yesua (Jesus) is who He is, that He can provide every need, that He is ALL WE NEED.
That we are not really worthy of the Lord, he is so high and lifted up, He is holy, and it is only His love that fill us, that even gives us the ability to love anyone truly with the love of God.  he will not fill us until we come before Him broken and contrite.  We in our own self can do nothing, we cannot love without Him, we can not save ourself, we cannot change, we can do nothing we are utterly dependant on Him.

How can we know Him intimately unless we are broken, we cannot see Him, we cannot see Him in His holiness, we cannot see Him in His glory unless we are broken.  It is knowing God the Father and Jesus Christ that we have eternal life.

Joh 17:3

And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, even Jesus Christ

Those trials you have been going through are to break you, to cause you to be helpless beggars, hopeless, hungry and thristy for the only One who can give You real life.

Do you want to see His glory, do you want to see the fire of God come down and begin to touch lives through you?  Do you want the power of God?  Get on your face and cry out for brokeness, cry out for Him to ruin you, to take residence in you as Lord.  Cry out for Him to lay you down, lay self down and  cut out all that is flesh and to give you a new heart, that is like Him.  Cry out that he would send the fire to burn out everything that is not of Him.

Chosen Forums are now private

Dear Ladies,

I have done some work in the background and now our Ladies Chosen forum is private. Not only does one have to be registered in the forums, but I also have to make it viewable to those who want to be able to read and post in it. We are now keeping all articles and prophetic words here on the Chosen Blog and using the Women's private forum for prayer, encouragement, sharing, advice etc....

If you are already registered at the IMentorU Forums please let me know that you wish to be involved in the Chosen Women's Forum so that I can make it viewable to you.

If you are not registered it is a simple process. Just a username and password. Go to the forums http://www.forumcityusa.com/index.php?mforum=imentoru, register and once you have registered please e-mail me at Chosen@IMentorU.com telling me that you wish to be included in the Chosen Women's Ministry & Forums. I will make some changes behind the scenes and you too will be able to access the Chosen Forum.

Defensive Living...

Right now in the Chosen Forum Elizabeth (the Moderator) and I are giving you safety and security tips. We will be adding information from safety in walking alone and keeping your home safe to knowing where the Predators (sex offenders) are in your area. This is important information and I believe that too often we are so spiritually minded that we don't take care of things that are very important for our homes, families and so on.

Women's Chat Room...

I have been given a wonderful chat room and have decided to use it for meeting with the Ladies for fellowship and prayer. Please let me know if you are interested as we are setting up the time even now.

Going beyond the walls,

Sheryl L. York
